RHYSON
She doesn't wear my ring. We never stood before a preacher. The only vows exchanged were between our bodies; between our souls. But she was mine and I was hers until I ruined it. I have to believe that every day, every step, every breath brings me closer to making things right. To making her mine again. KAI I've seen promises broken. I know love makes no guarantees. But things were different for Rhys and me, until he lied, and I walked away. Only there's a chain between our hearts that I can't break. Even if I forgive him, a shadow from my past hangs over us; over this love that reaches all the way down to my soul.

I just finished reading Down To My Soul and my heart
is bursting with love and admiration for Kennedy Ryan.
Wow! She's just a phenomenal storyteller and her writing is simply flawless.
I love how she uses and plays with words.
It seems so effortless when it's anything but that.
It makes her writing more interesting and it captures me immediately.

Down To My Soul picks up right where
My Soul To Keep ended and it does with one hell of a bang.
I was drawn back in instantly.
I didn't think it was possible to fall more in love with two characters
but that's what happened to me. I loved Kai and Rhyson
and it didn't matter which POV I was reading.
I just wanted to peel more layers off and get under their skin
to find out what made them tick.
Thankfully Kennedy Ryan revealed so many new sides
to Kai and Rhyson that saturated every need in me.

There were so many important and beautiful moments in this book
just like My Soul To Keep.
I don't want to give anything away except to say,
that I could feel their love pouring off from the pages. How Kennedy Ryan wrote their love and made it clear from their actions was phenomenal. It was so Kai and Rhyson and it made me believe/have faith in their love even more.
They truly were each other's constants.
Soulmates.
I have to say the respect Rhyson has for Kai's Auntie Ruthie was the last drop for me. I thoroughly understand why Kai fell head over heels in love with that man.
So sexy and yet funny.
 Just Rhyson!
Kai was such a strong woman and didn't let anything or
anyone compromise her beliefs or her goals.
 I respect that!
I enjoyed the look back at both their pasts and their struggles with their parents.
Some things we can't out run and are a part of who we are.
But how Kai and Rhyson look at that as an opportunity
to learn and grow from that was admirable.

Kennedy Ryan is truly a skilled and talented writer and storyteller.
Her wordplay is interesting and unique.
When I read I look forward to her next word in a sentence.
I'm entertained and invested in her stories.
But most of all - she makes me feel.
I couldn't ask for more.

Simply Fan-fucking-tastic.

“Rhys?” His name rushes from my mouth on a breath, and I’m off the bed, hurling myself at him top speed. Somehow my legs wrap around his waist and my arms tangle behind his neck. I couldn’t hold back and play this cool if I wanted to. Every part of me that’s been fighting to stay focused, to keep working, to be on, collapses against him. Surrenders to the feel of him in my arms and the smell of him. My fingers lace through his hair. I scatter kisses across his face, the sharp angles and taut skin warm beneath my lips. “So I take it you’re happy to see me?” He chuckles, pressing his forehead to mine, hands squeezing my thighs. “Happy?” I release something that’s half a sob, half a laugh, pulling back a few centimeters to let him breathe. “What gave you that idea?” We stop grinning at the same time, laughter dissolving, our bodies exchanging sensual information. My breasts flattened to his chest. His erection growing and hardening against my core. Our breaths mingling and hearts tattooing beats through our clothes and into the other’s skin. I move first, leaning in to capture his bottom lip between mine, sucking and pulling between my teeth. Licking into his mouth like there’s honey hidden inside. He groans into the kiss, walking backward until we reach the bed and dropping me so I bounce a little, his eyes roving over me head to toe. “Pep, what the hell are you wearing?” Humor and desire tussle in his eyes. I look down, laughing when I see the young Jackson brothers emblazoned across my chest, my legs ending in the footed bottoms. “If I’d known you were coming, I could have made sexier arrangements.” “Arrangements?” He quirks a dark brow, placing a knee on either side of my legs, hovering over me like a promise. “Lingerie would have been nice. Other rock stars have girlfriends who wear lingerie.” “Oh, are you referring to yourself as a rock star now?” I grin up at him, feeling whole for the first time since he kissed me goodbye a week ago. “That’s not egomaniacal at all. Is there a club? You guys have rock star meetings? Does one of you take rock star minutes?” “You are sitting in here listening to my music in the dark.” He leans forward to tug at the zipper beneath my chin. “Maybe you’re actually one of my crazed fans. Or a groupie. I might even find a Mrs. Rhyson Gray t-shirt around here somewhere. My girlfriend doesn’t like those.” “No, she doesn’t.” I shake my head, eyes never straying from his. A small frown jerks his brows together. He tugs again at the zipper, but it doesn’t budge. “Pep, it’s stuck,” he says. “Sometimes it does that,” I answer easily, enjoying the frustration spreading over his expression as he keeps pulling and it keeps staying. He places my hand over his cock, hard and poking through his jeans. “Well, it’s not exactly a good time for it to do that.” I laugh, grasping my zipper and tugging. Wow, it really is stuck. These are vintage PJs, older than I am and threadbare in places. I’m surprised the zipper hasn’t rusted before now. I sit up, bringing our bodies closer as I jiggle the little hook a few times. Nothing. “Just how attached are you to this Jackson Five onesie?” His glance burns hot across my subtle curves visible through the thin flannel, telegraphing his intentions. “Well this is Michael’s original nose.” I release a fake exasperated sigh. “But I do have my sewing kit.” “All I needed to hear.” Sorry, boys. He grabs the two ends of the collar separated by the zip line and pulls until there’s a ripping sound, the panels falling back to reveal my naked breasts and my panties. A wicked grin spreads across lips. “You naughty girl.” He runs a finger over the writing on the front of my calendar panties, carrying a current that simultaneously hitches my breath and gets me wet. “Wearing Monday panties on a Thursday. My little rebel.”   DTMS_immutable

════ MEET AUTHOR SHELLY MORGAN ════
I grew up in a small town in Iowa. I have 2 older sisters and amazing parents. Growing up, I was always a daddy’s girl, hanging out with him in the garage, fishing, and building stuff. I loved to play softball and swimming, but reading, telling stories, and writing were my passion, even at a young age. I took a break from writing for a while, but you could always find me with a book in my hand.

I have three children – two boys and a girl. They are my whole world. Even when I’m having the worst day ever, they brighten up my day and make me smile.

A few years ago, there was this story that would always play out in my head and no matter how many times I went through it, from beginning to end, it would never fade. So I decided to put it on paper. I didn’t plan on publishing it, but when it was almost done, a friend asked to read it. She said it was a story that needed to be shared. And that’s what started my writing career.

I love all genres of books, and even though I started with writing MC Romance, I have a whole book of ideas, so you can expect more from me than just MC, though romance is in my blood.

Even though I currently work two jobs, my ultimate dream is to become a full time author. I want to be able to spend my days filling pages with stories. I want to be the reason people find a reason to smile or laugh from lines on a page. Reading a book allows me to live in someone else’s shoes, even if only for a few minutes. It’s a way to leave my life and troubles behind and I want to be help others do that as well.

–– ABOUT THE AUTHOR ––
MICHAEL ROSS
It was a strange and twisting road that led to the publication of my first novel. From my humble beginnings, as an office clerk, to ownership of a multi million dollar business I always maintained my love for literature.

Born and raised in Bristol, England. I spent most of my life in business, my companies turning over in the region of $500 million. The majority of that time marketing cars, eventually owning the largest Saab specialist in the world, before a bitter divorce forced me rethink my priorities. Particularly between 2003 and 2005 when I had to accept that I was no longer a millionaire but literally penniless. I avoided bankruptcy by the skin of my teeth and slowly rebuilt my life

This led me to the life changing decision to leave the bustling city and move to live halfway up a mountain in the Welsh valleys. At the same time I started a part time six year English Literature course at Bristol University, and attended creative writing classes at Cardiff University. I left school at sixteen and this was my first taste of further education and an immense challenge.

I eventually adjusted my thinking to the academic life, and on 30 June 2015 had confirmation of my 2.1(Hons) degree from Bristol University. At the same time I also won the prestigious Hopkins Prize for my essay on Virginia Woolf and the unsaid within her text. Now the university courses are finished it will, with any luck, gives me plenty of extra time that I can devote to my fiction writing.

Thanks to the university experiences, my interest in English literature has flourished over recent years. Hopefully I have evolved as a writer from my earlier work in short stories (over ninety of them.) Although interestingly my first three novels have all been developed from a long forgotten short story.

Life is, once again, very good, and I live very happily halfway up a mountain, in the Welsh Valleys, with my wonderful partner Mari, and our rescue dog Wolfie.

Beguiling by Alex Lucian

Hate: to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward.

Scarlet Jennings, the preacher’s daughter who lived across the street, was a royal, uptight pain in my ass. When she looked at me, she saw a college quarterback asshole with rocks for brains, but she didn’t have a single word for what was happening between us.

When we were forced to ride together every single day that summer, there was definitely some dislike going on. Extreme hostility was a given, considering that we were spending so much time together in close quarters.
One night of bed-breaking, body-shattering, lose-your-voice-from-screaming passion had surprised us both, but it was only just the beginning…

When I first read Tempting by Alex Lucian,
 I was blown away!!!
I simply loved it!
Fresh and sexy as hell!
Enjoyed Adele's story and
her friend Leo was something else.
So when I heard the next book was going to be Leo's story I definitely had to read it.

Leo was such a great, funny and sweet guy.
I adored his patience and view on Scarlet. Even though he's had his share of women he's very different with her.
He respected her background as a preacher's daughter and her sexual inexperience.
He certainly wasn't
inexperienced
but had some tongue skills.
Scarlet was a feisty and opinionated girl.
Very dedicated to her schoolwork and her dream of becoming a veterinarian doctor. She's only had one sexual encounter
and a bad one at that.
A drunk and 5 minutes encounter
that's given her a bad impression of sex.
So she's missing out on a lot and
not only great sex because of her studies.
Her solution = a bucket list
which Leo gladly would help out with.
Their chemistry worked, sexy as all hell and their bantering funny.

So why the 3 stars?
Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't connect
with the characters the way I wanted.
Scarlet frustrated the hell out of me
with her hot and cold attitude.
Damn, she was really
hitting a nerve at one point.
I knew that the story would be different from its predecessor, so I was expecting that
and I appreciate when an author goes a different route with the next book.
I really put an effort in to get a great connection from the story but, no such luck.
I have to say that the writing was sublime
and this book is NOT putting me off for
Alex Lucian's next book.
I'm definitely going to read
the continuation of
Adele and Nathan's story.

5Stars~Easy Virtue by Mia Asher

Love is selfish...

My name is Blaire.
I'm the bad girl.
The other woman.
The one who never gets the guy in the end.

I'm the gold digger.
The bitch.
The one no one roots for.
The one you love to hate.

I hate myself too...

Everyone has a story. Are you ready for mine?

Soooo, I just bought this book
because it was on sale.
Yesterday an hour before
I had to go to work I decided to just read a couple of pages.
Bam!
Already 30% done
and damn work was calling.
I was pissed cause
I was so damn hooked on Blaire's story. Incredibly addictive!!!
 Kindle crack at its best.
So after work and sleep I finished
Easy Virtue in 2 hours.
WOW!!!
Totally blown away.
Mia Asher has got some amazing writing skills let me tell you that! Sublime writing and storytelling.
Her words captured me and just wouldn't let me go until the final page.

I loved Blaire.
Even as broken, damaged and flawed as she was, all she wanted
was love and validation.
But the environment she grew up in as a child seriously broke her self esteem and her heart.
I found her story very intriguing and no matter what decisions or actions she took I was always with her.
Not condoning her but understanding her choices and reasons behind them.
I could totally understand why Blaire was getting butterflies around Ronan. He was such a down to earth guy
with a heart of gold.
Their chemistry was instant and
I could FEEL IT through the kindle.
 Lawrence on the other hand
was the total opposite of Ronan.
Rich and powerful in his presence.
There was also a deep sexual connection between them.
The dilemma Blaire was in between these two men was interesting.
They both give her two different things and to her equally is important.
Love and money.
But because of Blaire's past she's not capable of love since she doesn't have a heart and she doesn't think she's worthy of it. Her fear was her biggest obstacle and ruining perhaps the first real thing in her life.
Namely Ronan.
Of course I have a favorite
 of the two men.
Who?
I won't say but Mia Asher writes them both so intriguing that I'm drawn to both of them.
They both possess something sexual, human and flawed.
I can't wait to read Sweet Venom and yet again be captured in Mia Asher's web, cause that's one erotic, beautiful and mesmerizing place to be.

Excerpt

There is finality to the sound of the door closing behind her. A sort of tormenting peace knowing the end has come. It’s not like I should have expected things to go on this way for long. How could they?

I stare holes in the walls as if I can still see her, the one woman I let in.

Sweeter than peach cobbler, she hardly has a bad thing to say about anybody—until now. Her parting description of me, beginning with ass and ending with hole, reverberates through my hollow heart, as I stand here rooted to my spot. I’m not even shocked, as this isn’t the first time I’ve been on the receiving end of that sentiment. I’m only surprised because I don’t think I’ve ever heard her so much as mutter a single curse word before. And the first time I do, it’s aimed squarely at me.

My hands tighten around a tumbler filled with amber liquid before I toss back its contents hoping for oblivion or something close to it. This road is so familiar. Only this time is different. I never cared like I do now. She means more to me than a quick fuck. Hadn’t I been about to tell her just that? How could things have gone wrong so fast?

Don’t be a dumbass. You can still fix this.

Instead, I stubbornly stay embedded to my spot because nothing can change the outcome. It’s a truth she and I know will haunt me until my last breath. And it’s created a wall between us I’m unable to climb … even if you gave me a damn ladder.

I’ve never been much of a risk-taker when it comes to matters of the heart. I can fill a bank account with a number having many zeros behind it from my astute choices in the market. But I can’t be a man a woman stays with. Hadn’t I warned her about that too?

Unable to see past my own shitty existence, I long for her to come back. I want to believe it’s all been some kind of mistake and I can forget what I know to be true. As the seconds continue to tick by, the inevitability that things are really over sinks in. My window of opportunity quickly closes as fast as her car door slams and the engine fires to life.

She’s so close, yet miles away. The longer I let the minutes expand between us I know distance won’t make the heart grow fonder. But maybe it’s for the best. Love, or whatever masquerades as it, just isn’t enough for the dirty, fucked up truth. Right when things were better than I ever expected, facts messed it up.

Groaning, I launch the crystal glass worth a small fortune at the door I can’t seem to force myself towards. A beautiful show of light plays off the shards as they cascade down in an explosion of fireworks. Visually, it’s what I feel inside as desolation constricts and then obliterates my chest because the best thing I ever had is gone … leaving me with only the certainty I’m meant to be with her.

I love you, I whisper for the first time and in place of goodbye. She left me and will never hear it. I can only pray we both survive what’s to come.

For some reason,
I just couldn't connect with the characters. It was a great although
 rather predicable story.
If your into insta-love/lust then this book is definitely for you.

The writing worked fine but no matter how hard I tried, I wasn't intrigued by Ben or Sam's personality or their story.
Their insta-connection was & felt too easy.
I would have liked more build up tension or slow burn romance in their relationship.
I felt that Sam and Ben
were two different people in the book.
I know it's possible but
it didn't feel like Sam and Ben.
But I have to say, that their insta-love/lust did have one upside.
Their sexual chemistry was insanely hot.
I couldn't get enough of that.
Sam's "secret" carried on for way too long and it was a shame, it had to be used as a plot device to come between them.

The epilogue was really great
and made me smile.
So if you're into insta-love with some angst with a guaranteed happy ending then this book is for you.

A.M. Hargrove

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, USA Today bestselling author, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she made a quick decision to quit her job and reinvented herself as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.

She fancies herself all of the following: Reader, Writer, Dark Chocolate Lover, Ice Cream Worshipper, Coffee Drinker (swears the coffee, chocolate, and ice cream should be added as part of the USDA food groups), Lover of Grey Goose (and an extra dirty martini), #WalterThePuppy Lover, and if you’re ever around her for more than five minutes, you’ll find out she’s a non-stop talker.

Terri E. Laine

Terri E. Laine, USA Today bestselling author, left a lucrative career as a CPA to pursue her love for writing. Outside of her roles as a wife and mother of three, she’s always been a dreamer and as such became an avid reader at a young age.

In her early years, she and her best friend would tell each other stories over the phone when they were bored. They called them their "soap operas" and generally revolved around whatever boy they liked at the time.

Many years later, she got a crazy idea to write a novel and set out to try to publish it. With over a dozen titles published under various pen names, the rest is history. Her journey has been a blessing, and a dream realized. She looks forward to many more memories to come.
