Cover Reveal - Filthy Gods by R. Scarlett

Filthy Gods (American Gods 0.5), an all-new Sexy New Adult Romance by R. Scarlett is Coming May 15th!!

Cover Design and Photography by Regina Wamba at Mae I Design and Photography

Prelude in the American Gods series.
Young. Wealthy. Elite. Attractive. The gentlemen’s secret society at Yale was filled with them.
And Nathaniel Radcliffe, the bane of my existence, was one of them.
As the right hand of the American Gods, he was conceited and arrogant. A dangerously handsome man in a tailored custom suit and shiny black oxford loafers.
The classroom was our battlefield. We made a sport out of arguing and debating, ready to do anything in order to win over the other.
Deadly opponents, deadlier minds.
I'd sworn I'd never give him the upper hand, until...
The secret I’ve been hiding for the last three years?
He just discovered it…and now he has all the power.

Release Blitz - Voyeur by Fiona Cole

Release Date: April 26, 2018
Cover Design: Najla Qamber Designs
Photography: Alex Sens

Synopsis

I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.
Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching.
But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible.
The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass.
I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I've seen all of her, I can't look away.

Fiona Cole is a master at merging sex and romance together so the end result is an emotional and engaging story with flawed and strong characters. Voyeur is just that. This story is so much more than the title. This isn’t just about a man who gets his rocks off by watching other people indulge in sexual activities. No, there’s so much more to Callum and the young woman Oaklyn who works at Voyeur in her spare time and is his student at college.

Their story is intense, sweet and heartbreaking. I really liked Oaklyn because of her spirit and her determination despite her young age. She’s a fighter who once she sets a goal will do what’s possible for her to achieve it.
Callum is a loving man who carries a secret that has affected him since he was in his teens. He struggles with being intimate with women because of that trauma from his past. How Callum struggles with his demons is flawlessly written. I truly felt his pain and frustration with not being able to let go and to control himself.

The highlight of Voyeur is the evolution of Callum thanks to Oaklyn. Her patience and understanding of him is honest and beautiful. Their friendship is fun and easy. They revel in each other’s company and their progression from friends to lovers is wonderfully written.
There’s so much heat and chemistry between them that I had to fan myself. At times it got really hot I felt I needed a shower. This story was fabulous thanks to two well developed characters and strong writing. Fiona Cole keeps surprising me.

Release Blitz - Unforgivable by Isabel Love

Title: Unforgivable
Author: Isabel Love
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: April 26, 2018

Blurb

There are certain things that are unforgivable…
Falling for your brother’s best friend is one of them.

That isn’t the worst thing I’ve done, though.
Not even close.

Shame and guilt follow me everywhere.
Except when I’m with him.

With him, I can breathe again.
Smile again. Love again.

But he has no idea what I've done...

How on earth is Unforgivable only Isabel Love’s third book cause damn she knocked it out of the park. I was introduced to Anna and Wes in Unconventional but Unforgivable can easily be read as a standalone.
I really appreciate Isabel Love for switching it up this time around. Whereas her two previous books were very sexy Unforgivable is a delicious slow burn romance with well developed characters and sensitive topics.

While reading I could easily feel how much this story means to the author. Her attention and care for her characters and important topics shows and most importantly it feels. Through her words. I hurt, swooned and cheered along with Anna and Wes thanks to her strong and flawless prose.

Anna and Wes. These two flawed characters captured my heart immediately. I love how this story is constructed cause it’s the reason why I connected so strongly with Anna and Wes as I did. Their friendship is one of kind, extraordinary and sweet. Wes is swoon worthy in every sense of the word. Wow how I love this man. His devotion and love for Anna blew me away numerous times. His determination to reach his goals in life is awe inspiring. Anna made my heart break because of the shame and guilt she felt for certain choices she made. Her and Wes’ fight back towards forgiveness and acceptance was definitely a highlight.
Their road towards a relationship as lovers is long filled with mistakes and losses but it’s also a road where they are each other’s confidants and loyal support. They help each other out in a way not even Anna’s brother or parents can. Their bond is truly unique thanks to their shared history since they were twelve and fourteen years old.
The secondary characters are fabulous. I love Anna’s brother John and their parents. They play a crucial part in Wes’ life and become a family to him. Also Anna’s friends Christy and Desirae add some laughs to the story which I enjoyed.

The epilogue was spot on and gave the characters the closure they deserved. I couldn’t be happier. I expected Unforgivable to be an angsty slow burn romance and it most definitely was and again it was so much more. Unforgivable is the perfect childhood friends to lovers with an emotional storyline. It hit the mark for me big time. Isabel Love’s third book is a homerun.

“Would you mind keeping this piece steady while I attach it?” he asks, interrupting my reverie.
“No problem.” I take my position opposite him, holding the piece of trim in place against the dresser as he drills screws into the underside so that they remain hidden from view. It’s like magic.
I study him as he works.
He tilts his head this way and that to make sure the piece is level before he starts. Then, he lifts the drill, and taut muscles shine with sweat as he drives each screw into the boards with purpose. His forearms flex and jump with every movement. And his tattoo calls my eye to follow the bumps and dips of his biceps and triceps.
Wesley Scott is a perfectly sculpted specimen of man. He’s strong. Confident. Capable.
He catches me staring and winks, rewarding me with his rare, crooked grin. I feel myself flush as I quickly look away, totally busted.
No, I don’t mind helping him one bit.

His wide, warm palm grazed her lower back as they wove their way through the tables to the exit. They crossed over the water garden in silence, slowing as they reached a fork in the path.
“Which way?” Deacon asked. “I’ll walk you back.”
“That’s sweet, but you really don’t have to. It’s a five-star resort, not downtown Los Angeles.”
Deacon kept walking. “True. But you know, I took you to dinner and all.”
She arched a brow at him. “It’s also an all-inclusive resort. Maybe I took you.”
“Maybe you did.”
He flashed her that slightly lopsided grin that hit her right in the chest. She conceded to the walk, and together, they followed the brick path. The resort was dark, but lights along the sidewalk lit the path and shined up the skinny gray trunks of the swaying palms. It was quiet, and when they didn’t pass even one other person, she was glad he was walking her back.
She slowed as they came to the breezeway leading to her building and pointed up the steps to the second floor. “I’m up there, so…”
Deacon started up the steps. “I’ll walk you to the door. I’m funny like that.”
She probably should have said no, insisted that she could make it to her door on her own. Because of course she could. But she didn’t insist, just followed enormously glad she’d removed the HONEYMOON banner from her door.
They reached her room, and she turned to face him. Just the two of them now, up here, alone at her door. She felt a slight buzzing in her head that had nothing to do with alcohol.
“Well, Clare of the here and now.”
She rolled her eyes at the reminder of her earlier word-vomit ramble. “It was nice to meet you.” She stuck out her hand, hoping it wasn’t sweaty.
“It was nice to meet you, too.”
It didn’t feel like a simple handshake as he wrapped his fingers around hers. “I had fun tonight. You turned what might have been a horrible night into something surprisingly nice.”
“I’m glad.”
“Thank you for catching me and saving my top and for dinner and talking and…” And maybe she could stoptalking.
“You’re welcome.”
A frog gave a low croak, and another answered, but she figured the pounding of her heart was louder.
The buzzing in her head grew louder, and she felt dizzy from looking into his eyes and staring at his lips because she wanted him to kiss her. She wanted to feel those smooth, firm lips on hers, to taste him and feel his arms around her.I'm losing my mind.
“You’re beautiful,” he said. “I’ve been wanting to say that all night.” He lifted his hand and lightly brushed his thumb over her cheek.
Then he leaned in, and she moved. Just…moved. In and up, her fingers twisting in the front of his shirt. She was just falling into the taste of him, just getting that warm, tingling flood of a first kiss when her brain fully registered that he’d been leaning in to kiss her cheek
“I’m sorry.” She swallowed hard, felt a stinging heat flooding into her cheeks, and wished desperately to disappear. Deacon was staring at her in complete confusion. That made two of them. “I’m… really sorry.”
She spun to her door. A stiff wind sang through the open-air hallway, slapping her hair across her eyes. How she got her key in the lock, she had no idea. Mumbling one more apology over her shoulder, she opened the door and closed it behind her. She stood, heart pounding in mortification, her lips buzzing.
The champagne glasses and fruit and cheese tray had been cleared. The bed had been turned back, and the damn swans were back, nestled in the center of the bed and kissing right on their terrycloth lips.

Our relationship was a sin, they said, but how can it be a sin to love so deeply? She shouldn’t have listened to them. Shouldn’t have left us behind. You can’t help whom you love, and without Silvina, I didn't give a damn. A mafia prince without a cause is a rebel with nothing to lose. My brother owned an adult entertainment studio. He wanted me nowhere near it. Thankfully, his competition did. I auditioned. Landed a contract. It's how I took my sins to a new level, my up-yours to la famiglia. Until Silvina was kidnapped, and my world was thrown upside down.

About the Author:
I'm a lover of everything beautifully written no matter the genre. As an author, I pen flawed characters. I seek the flip side where the soul hides, and once there, I want to be pulled out of my comfort zone by stories that take on a life of their own. I've committed paranormal and young adult books. I've done contemporary romance verging on erotica, and I've dabbled in supernatural mystery. But my heart is anchored in new adult of the true kind: unapologetic young adult that's all grown up, with conflicts and passions familiar to college-aged readers and people who remember those days like they happened last night.

I reached over and pushed ‘stop’ on Janey’s tape recorder and turned to her. “Saturday then?” She coughed in surprise. “What happens Saturday?” “We conclude the interview. You need to see a football match firsthand or your article is going to sound like a bunch of amateurish gibberish. You want to be taken seriously?” She pressed her lips together for a moment. “Yes.” “So do I. Saturday at noon at Stade Jean-Marc. We’ll finish the interview after.” “Antoine wants the article in two days,” she said. “Tell Antoine I said to wait.” She took another long pull from the lemonade, her pride not letting her say yes to me so quickly. “Saturday then,” she said. “For the article.” “Right,” I said, holding her gaze. “For the article.” She finished off the lemonade and set the glass down. “Thank you very much, Sophie. It was just what I needed.” She gathered her belongings and turned to me. “See you.” “You have a drop of lemonade on your chin,” I said. “Where?” Her hand flew to her mouth. “No, I don’t…” I held out the cocktail napkin with my sketch of her, my brow raised. Janey dropped her hand from her dry chin, fuming. I expected her to flounce away. But she snatched the napkin out of my hand, dropped it into her bag, and coolly walked away. I wasn’t in love with her, but in that moment, I knew someday I would be.
