Review by Roxy
I fell in love with this book! I loved feeling what each character was feeling and the quirky family atmosphere as well. Kim did a fantastic job bringing her characters to life.

The sweet, inexperienced Lindsey moves to California from Ohio to reinvent herself. She meets her new neighbor, Shane, when she has an accident in her apartment and he comes to her rescue.

Shane's first impression of Lindsey is not quite what she would have wished for. Shane is a sexy tattoo artist with the hottest blue-black mohawk and he makes Lindsey feel even more insecure with herself. He instantly wants to get to know her better. The fact that he needs help with the IRS and Lindsey just so happens to be very good at her job as an accountant is not the only reason. Shane has an aversion to opening his mail and his tattoo shop just might suffer because of it.

Lindsey feels like she just doesn't "fit" in Shanes world. She is a shy corporate accountant and he is outgoing and her total opposite. The more time they spend together the more she falls for him, the more he falls for her.

Will they realise how well they really do fit together? Can she forgive him for hiding things from her? Can he forgive her for hiding herself from him?

The secondary characters play a huge part in this story. You fall in love with them, each in their own way. Some not so much. A great start to the series! Can't wait for book two!

Teaser
She didn't realize she’d held her breath until her lungs demanded air and she gasped and grabbed Shane’s leg. When her hand grazed across his jeans, she swore she’d never felt anything quite so supple and pliable, a well-worn fine nap not unlike the most expensive velvet beneath her fingertips. Beneath his jeans she could clearly make out the definition of his toned thigh. The contrast of textures overloaded her senses.  “Did you know the 5 freeway and the Golden State freeway are the same?”

He chuckled but didn't move away from her. In fact, his dark blue eyes stared so intently that she studied his arm tattoos. One thing about Shane was that every part of him was interesting to look at.
