Synopsis: Don’t let my petite and innocent appearance fool you, because I’m one person you don’t want to cross. I’m Micah, the youngest member of Resurrection…If only they knew how young. My fake ID says I’m twenty-one.
And I will be…in four years.
What can I say? I blossomed early. Home sucked, so I left, determined to do something with my life.
Landing the gig as lead vocalist in the band was a dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make something of myself and nothing is going to ruin that for me.
Then He showed up.
He’s hot as hell and so into me. But he’s also twenty-five.
I don’t want to lie to him, but if the truth comes out I’ll lose everything, including him.
Let me just say that I don't typically read books about teenagers, but in no way did I feel like it was a teenie bobber book! I haven't read a Missy Johnson book I didn't effin love and this was no different. The fact that Missy can write across many different realms and genre's and blow me away every time is precisely why I wanted to read this.
The female lead Micah may be young but she's far from immature. She's strong, independent and not whiney! Which is a Major plus in my book! I hate weak, whiney girls ugh!
Anyways, Micah appears to have her shit together, but the perfect storm will come along.
In the meantime Saxon Waite,
that sexy beast is the object of Micah's AFFECTION.
I love it when two broken and tattered souls stumble upon lust,
love and a whole lotta hot fucking sex! Mmm.mmm.mmm.
and dirty talk too!
It's my kinda recipe for a kickass book.
This totally held my attention from the first chapter all the way to the end.
It encapsulates a hard life, fame, luck, death, family, drama, dysfunction, sex, lies and some good old fashion fun. If all that sounds good to you, this should be your next SUMMER read!
