5 STARS~Sweet Obsession by J. Daniels

Title: Sweet Obsession
Series: Sweet Addiction #3
Author: J Daniels
Genre: Contemporary/Erotic Romance
 Release Date: September 22, 2015

***Author’s note***
Sweet Obsession can be read as a standalone novel.

Everyone knows Brooke Wicks loves to have a good time. She’s not interested in getting serious, settling down, or limiting herself to one man. So when she meets the sexy, irresistible Mason King, she sees another opportunity to let loose and go wild. But the gorgeous Aussie isn’t interested in just a quick fling with Brooke, and if she wants to get into his bed, she’s going to have to do it on his terms.

Loving fast and hard has always been Mason’s philosophy. He doesn’t want a meaningless connection, he wants it all, and he wants it with Brooke. When she makes her one desire known—to hit it and quit it—Mason wages a plan to ensure Brooke keeps coming back for more. Or so he hopes.

Getting her attention was the easy part. Keeping it might be damn near impossible.

Sweet Obsession is where the Sweet Addiction series meets the Alabama Summer series.

When I read a J. Daniels book I usually get giddy, happy and a warm feeling inside.
She always makes me feel something.
And Sweet Obsession
was no exception.
This was one of those books.
Just from reading the first chapter I was ecstatic. It was great to be back in her universe but also with her characters from the Alabama and
Sweet Addiction/Possession series.
I felt like I was part of the gang with all their shared history.

Holy crap I just thought Brooke was such a great lead character in this book. She's also in the two books Sweet Addiction and Sweet Possession. I just loved her honesty about who she is and what she wants. She's not interested in a relationship. It's strictly sex for her. Doesn't let anybody close. Except her sister Juls, their mutual friends Joey, his husband Billy and her employer Dylan. But Brooke's demeanor changes, when the hot Aussie Mason shows up.

"We stand there for several minutes. My head never moves. His arms never leave me. It's soothing, the constant pressure of his hold, and somehow it feels strangely familiar. Like he's held me like this for years. Like I've known him my entire life, and in the moments when I've needed someone to be with me like this, it's always been him".

I don't know what to say about Mason except that I love him.
What a man!
I could hear his accent through J. Daniels' words.
Especially his "yeah" had me sold.
He's the totally opposite of Brooke.
He's not interested in a one night stand and wants/seeks a connection with a woman. Mason is very persistent when it comes to Brooke. She doesn't get her way easily. He tries really hard to woo Brooke and shows her what romance and friendship is all about.
I loved that whole courtship between the two of them.

When they finally get together sparks fly. Literally!!
Their connection was so strong
and their sex scenes spot on.
Really hot and in their spirit.
Free and fun.
Even though this book primarily is about Brooke and Mason,
I loved I got to know more about the other characters as well.
They are just as important as the lead characters.

That's why J. Daniels is such a damn good author. I'm invested in all of her characters and their stories. I want and need more. This book was just an appetizer and I can't wait for what she cooks up next.
Cause I'm not nearly satiated.
I'm more
OBSESSED
 and
ADDICTED!
