From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes the second book in a dark, sexy contemporary trilogy.

He’s a fighter who never loses, but is he tough enough to win her heart?

There was a time when I had everything–a wonderful family, a bright future. Love. But all that was taken away in a single night, torn from me like flesh from bone. Since then, I’ve hidden away in my second-choice job as a makeup artist. But I prefer it that way, actually. I’m comfortable in the shadows, where no one can see my scars.

Kiefer Rogan literally took my breath away the moment I met him. MMA champion-turned-actor, notorious playboy, charming to a fault—he’s everything I vowed to avoid.

But he just wouldn’t stop until I opened up and let him in. Maybe I should’ve tried harder to resist him. Maybe I shouldn’t have fallen in love with him. Because I, of all people, know that everyone has secrets. Scars. And that they’re usually ugly and painful and destructive to the people we love most.
I just never guessed that they could be deadly, too.

M. Leighton is one of those Authors
that no matter what she writes
she delivers perfection.
Although her stories have always engulfed all my attention,
Rogan consumed my every thought!
Rogan is a man that does what it takes to protect his family.
He does what he's got to do to survive.
He is strong and unrelentless.
Especially when it comes to
Katie and seeing a smile on her face.
Katie is beautiful person
that would rather keep to herself.
She has learned how to fight
to even get to where she is now.
She has had to close herself off;
that was of course until
Rogan sat down in her chair
and threw her off
her game completely.
The interaction between Rogan and Katie is funny, flirty, sweet and
very blistering hot at times.
I loved how compassionate they were
with one another, but not wanting
one ounce of sympathy!
They complimented each other
well despite Katie's
opinion of herself.
The bedroom action was explosive.
Like crazy HOT
Beautiful and Loving
 just yeah indescribably
freaking awesome!
The Passion and Heat
was just radiating off my Kindle.
I couldn't wait for
the next scene with them together
the glances, touches, conversation everything about that
made their connection
so much more than a physical one.
That is one of my favorite things about the way Michelle writes
the depth and the little things
that makes the characters
so real and relate-able.
