Not a typical hilarious, lighthearted sexy romcom of Debra's that I've read.
This was raw, gritty, real life painful dysfunctional family situations with some sensual, sexy feelings, and a whole lot of hope, strength,
friendship and love.
I know that's a mouthful,
but it is what it is.
I loved every letter and feed my addiction for this story from the first word to the last.
I couldn't set my kindle down or
close my eyes until I finished it.
Nix was Mercy and he showed absolutely none when completed a mission. He was calculated.
His Dad was a miserable human being and treated him like crap.

The intensity of the connection between Elder and Pim surely did not lose its luster but, grew 10 times over.
I want to find a connection like that!
Everybody should have a connection like they do on that level
Mind.Body.Soul.
Elder learns to accept the fate that he's known the moment he set eyes on Pim.
He knows what being isolated and unloved feels like, strictly from his family and he realizes he doesn't want that with Pim.
He realizes a lot of things about himself,
his obsessive ways, his resolve
and his demise.
The ending of this book has left me the most on edge and the wow factor
is beyond phenomenal!!!
The writing was exceptional as always and every detail, every look, every unsaid gesture was perfectly calculated,
placed and detonated like a bomb.
