Blurb
One story. Two couples.

I fell in love with a man who didn’t exist.

What started out as romance ended in hell.
His words turned to razor blades.
His kisses converted to fists.
His embrace became my cage.
His body transformed into a weapon, stealing parts of me until ultimately….
I broke.

I hated him.
My sole job in life became to protect our daughter.

I wasn’t sure I’d ever escape the prison he’d skillfully crafted from my fears.
Until the day our savior arrived.

This is the story of how I escaped the man who thought he owned me.
The transfer of my life and my family.

Transfer- Teaser #2.jpg

This story picked up right where
Retrieval ended and it did with
a suspenseful first chapter.
Holy moly what a start!
My emotions were all over the place
and I was so excited for what
 was in store for me.
Transfer kept the same fast flowing and effortless pace just like Retrieval.

This time it was Clare and Heath's story and it didn't disappoint.
I was so intrigued by what was revealed
in those final moments of Retrieval that I couldn't wait for Clare and Heath to get together cause I could easily feel their attraction and connection.
Clare was fantastic.
What a woman and most importantly
what a strong and loving,
protective mother she was.
How she put herself in harms way to protect her daughter Tessa was powerful and also heartbreaking.
My awe grew for her throughout this story and how she took her own
power and control back was kickass.
Heath was beyond swoon worthy!
He wooed me constantly with
his love and protectiveness
of Clare and Tessa.
I loved how he built up Clare's confidence with just him being around
her and giving her time.
He didn't see Clare as a broken woman.
In his eyes she was beautiful, strong and most of all a mother.
When they got together magic definitely happened and it was spectacular!

The epilogue was fabulous and I couldn't have asked for a better end to the Elisabeth/Roman and Clare/Heath's story. Their paths/journeys were intertwined
and resolved flawlessly.
The Retrieval Duet felt fresh and the concept and execution
of the duet was unique.
This is definitely Aly Martinez'
best work yet!!!

4Stars~Sweet Dreams by Nina Lane

A new standalone sexy contemporary romance by New York Times bestselling author Nina Lane!

He may own a candy company, but this wealthy bachelor is no Willy Wonka.

Sugar Rush Candy Company CEO Luke Stone is a devoted businessman who doesn't do relationships. He does short-term affairs with clearly defined rules. But when a sexy bohemian angel propositions him in a bar, Luke is tempted to want more.

Polly Lockhart is horrified when she wakes the morning after her twenty-third birthday to realize she made a fool of herself with a sinfully delicious man. She tells herself she doesn't have time for romance anyway, as she's fighting to keep her mother's beloved bakery afloat and finish her culinary studies. That all changes when her class tours the famed Sugar Rush headquarters, and Polly collides with her dream man again.

As she succumbs to their hot attraction, Polly soon realizes her bakery isn't the only thing that needs saving. Luke, driven and unyielding, will burn out unless someone convinces him to taste the sweetness of life. But can Polly remember this sugar rush is only temporary?

This was indeed sweet and sexy thanks to the handsome and yummy CEO Luke Stone of Sugar Rush candy company.
He was just what baker Polly Lockhart needed to relax and have a good time but
of course their friendship
turned out to be
so much more than fun.
Polly was an honest, open and trusting woman who just wanted to save her mother's bakery. She was dedicated and determined in her work to accomplish her goal.
She had a close group of friends and a sister Hannah which she
wasn't as close to anymore.
When she met Luke at that bar it was the beginning of something new and special.
I really enjoyed Polly and Luke's relationship and how it changed them both
in particular Luke.
He had always been a workaholic
because of a certain experience in his past but the way Polly came into his life and brightened it was the heart of this story.
She showed him how to have fun,
to enjoy life.
He wasn't into commitment
and just wanted it to be casual.
But because of Polly's easygoing personality Luke couldn't stay away.
Their interactions were so much fun and their chemistry delicious just like his candy. Their slowly build romance was well written with some great heat and tension.

The other characters were also great and I enjoyed the Lockhart and
Stone family dynamics.
Luke's brother Evan was a fabulous brother who had his own issues to deal with but was always supportive of Luke.
I can't wait to read his story when Polly's sister Hannah is going to be his opposite. Hannah had been traveling most of her life and not laying down roots anywhere.
She hadn't had as close a relationship to their mother as Polly had.
I loved how Hannah also turned out to put her needs aside and help
Polly when it mattered the most.
These two was slowly on their
way back to being sisters again
and I enjoyed that part of the story too.
I can't wait to get more of Hannah and Evan's story in the sequel.
I'm a huge fan of Nina Lane and especially her Spiral of Bliss series because
of a certain professor
but with this book she has succeeded in creating not one but two fantastic male characters in the form of
Luke and Evan Stone. T
hey are definitely giving
Professor West a run for his money.

The Fighter and the Baroness Cover Reveal

The Fighter and the Baroness
Sunniva Dee
Publication date: November 29th 2016
Genres: New Adult, Romance

Victor Arquette knows the meaning of sacrifice. Destined to legendary status in mixed martial arts, his life is founded on it. Dedication equals sacrifice, and sacrifice means around-the-clock training, no partying, no junk food, no alcohol—and no women.
Helena von Isenlohe is the heiress to Kyria Castle. Due to her father’s lack of financial prowess, the restoration of the ancient German estate rests on Helena’s shoulders. A failed attempt leaves a wealthy man alone at the altar—and the fleeing bride on a plane to the United States.
A chance meeting, and Victor and Helena’s chemistry is undeniable. Except, her presence clutters his focus. Victor shouldn’t crave their nights, shouldn’t be concerned where she is or with whom. And meanwhile in Germany, Kyria Castle deteriorates at a suspicious speed, indebting Helena further to the man she left behind.
Victor and Helena believe in duty. They embrace sacrifice. But when love strikes, it strikes hard, and sometimes you have to choose where your heart is truly at home.
EXCERPT:
Helena enters the room like she expects someone to jump out from dark corner. Neck stretched, she takes in a high quality yet typical hotel room with a king-sized bed and two nightstands. The TV is big and flat, resting on top of a dresser, and then there’s a mirror over a small office desk with a phone and some restaurant flyers on it.
“It’s nice,” she says. “I like that it doesn’t smell like smoke.”
“That would be terrible. Is that what you’re used to? Smoking rooms?”
“We have a cigar room,” she replies, confused, until she breaks in an apologetic laugh. “Oh, as in smoking versus nonsmoking hotel room. I get it.”
“You have a cigar room? Would that be right next to the swan pond?” I tease. It’s cute to see embarrassment flush her cheeks. “Hey,” I continue, mock-petting her cheek, “don’t feel self-conscious about living in a castle. Even though it’s, let’s just say, a hair’s breadth over the top for us commoners.”

“Don’t I know it,” she says. “So which side of the bed is mine?”
I consider, rubbing the light scruff that’s grown on my chin since yesterday. “Well, since you just touched the left corner, it now has cooties. You’ll have to sleep on the cooty-side.”
This girl, she’s been so immediate in her responses. I guess I expected a laugh or some expressed annoyance at my silly comment. Instead, she sinks down against the pillows on her side of the bed and breathes, “Okay,” with the smallest smile raising the corners of her lips.
She uses the arc of one foot to slide her shoe off before she skips off the other. I watch as she wiggles her toes graciously, green nail polish gleaming in the dim shine from the bedside lamp.
Helena is tired. I guess it’s been a long day, the flight being just a small part of her exhaustion. I’m drawn to her eyes, not for the first time. The color of them is almost watery. No, they are watery.
“Who gave you that color?” I blurt out.
“What?”
“Your eyes. It’s like they’re made of water.”
I’m not the impulsive kind, and yet I’ve already committed strange acts around this girl. Where I come from, women expect smart, premeditated interactions, never initiated by questions like the one I just shot at Helena. This they’d ignore. They’d change the subject into something not insane, or they’d titter and squirm, not knowing how to respond.
She lets her eyes float from her feet to my eyes before they still. “My father. I’ve got his eyes.” She laughs softly, hands around the remote for the TV. “Grandma used to say our eyes were the color of the swan pond because we were both born in rooms with windows overlooking it.”

Title: Between Clouds and Stars
Author: Sharlyn G. Branson

Blurb

My life is perfect. I have money, power, good looks and countless women ready to do anything to get their hands on me, and my rather large package. My business brings in billions every year and my airline has the fastest airplanes in the world. In short, I have everything a man can dream of. Or so I thought until I met Estelle Klide.
The second I saw her, I decided to make her mine.
Her body was sinfully sexy. She had amazing, mesmerizing indigo eyes. Her sweet scent was the epitome of temptation and evoked images of wild, animalistic sex in my mind.
I couldn’t help but fall for her – hard. Letting her slip through my fingers was not an option.
In involving myself with her, I entered waters I’d never thought I’d have to swim in. I set off on a journey filled with mystery, fear and a lot of love.
The only thing that threatened to ruin this paradise and destroy everything, was her ex-husband, who turned out to be a real monster.

Excerpt
It was no joke.
Liam had been waiting in the lobby for her at nine o'clock, sharp. Liam Edenhoff – “but everyone calls me Eden” – he'd introduced himself again to her before guiding her out to a taxi he'd had waiting.
She felt a little nauseous. She'd chugged down another half bottle of wine, and some crème de menthe, before heading downstairs to meet him. She'd almost talked herself out of going, but she'd made the mistake of telling her roommate Tori about the whole fiasco. Apparently, Katya owed it to women everywhere (and Tori in particular) to explore this opportunity to its fullest. She'd all but been shoved out the apartment, the door slammed and locked in her face.

“Nervous?” Liam Eden-whatever-his-name-was asked her as the cab slowed to a crawl.
“Nope,” Katya's voice sounded overly loud.
“Liar. Tonight is gonna be an interesting night, angel cake.”
“Stop calling me that.”
“What's your last name?”
“None of your business.”
“Okay then – when the gang bang starts, I'll tell them to call you Katya X.”
She couldn't stop the blush from happening that time. Liam burst out laughing, then soothed the sting by grabbing her hand.
Even when they got out of the cab, he didn't let go of her. Normally, she would've been uncomfortable with a stranger assuming such a familiarity with her, but this time, she was thankful for it. She held onto him tightly as they walked down a crowded street. Then they turned into an alley, and his gang bang joke didn't seem so funny. He led her to a plain door, above which a simple, small, neon sign spelled out “The Garden”. Outside were several small groups of people, chatting and smoking. Some of them called out greetings to him, all of them using his nickname, but a large and scary looking bouncer addressed him very properly.
“Hey, Mr. Edenhoff, wasn't expecting you in tonight. Any problems?”
“Nope, just bringing a friend to show her the place, let her see what I do for a living.”
All the blood was quickly rushing from Katya's limbs, pooling somewhere in her stomach. None of this was a joke. He really did own the place, that much was obvious.
As Liam led her through the door, though, Katya actually felt a surge of confidence. She was still nervous, still more than a little scared, but she was okay with it. Liam seemed like a nice guy, he wasn't going to take her into some dark room and insert foreign objects into her orifices. She could leave whenever she wanted to, whenever it got too uncomfortable. Everything was fine, and for once, she was doing something exciting. She'd een have something interesting to talk about at work the next day.
Finally.

I didn't know what to expect from this book after I read the blurb.
It didn't give away too much
and yet I was very intrigued.
I've read the Kane series by Stylo Fantome and really enjoyed that.
She's no stranger to writing sexy stories with strong and intense males.
Neighbors was just that and much more.
A very unexpected surprise.

I have to admit I was a little put off by Katya and her insecurities because she used it as an excuse whenever she had the chance.
I decided to say "screw it" and go along with the story and just enjoy it.
Right move on my part because enjoy it
 I sure as hell did.
Katya's friend Tori was a fresh breath of air and as much as she tried to push Katya out of her comfort zone, she was first and foremost a wonderful and loyal girlfriend.

Liam and Wulfric were two opposites but very attractive men who definitely
had their eyes on Katya.
Her chemistry with both men was sizzling hot and I enjoyed the different relationship she had with both of them.
Liam and Wulfric brought out
new and exciting Katya.
Liam was easygoing and always asked for permission whereas Wulfric took charge of what he wanted and needed from Katya.
I enjoyed how she reacted to them and how both relationships evolved and grew.
She became more secure in herself
 and her sexuality.
It was an intense and fun journey.
Towards the end she finally found
her voice and took control.

I wasn't surprised by the ending but it didn't ruin my experience.
For me it was Katya's journey and her sexual revolution that intrigued me.
I'm definitely going to read the sequel because these three people have definitely caught me in their web.

About the Author:

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
