Bonafide bombshell Maisie Walker loves sex. The problem is she’s never had it—not with a real live person anyway. Her vibrator, Vinnie, and pornbud.com keep Maisie’s nights busy, but she’s itching to lose her V-card—with her boss, Jayce Kavanagh.

As managing partner of the hottest legal firm in New York City, Jayce Kavanagh likes to win—in court and in the bedroom. With his mind set on legal perfection, he doesn’t have time for the killer sway of his assistant’s assets or her sinful mouth.

One late night in the office changes everything.

Spanking your associate after-hours is not ideal, but with proper boundaries, Jayce makes it happen. Enter in Exhibit A—the contract. General terms and conditions are set in place, satisfaction is guaranteed, and oral persuasion commences.

As they test their limits in and out of the office, feelings surface and amendments are made. But just when an extension is proposed, Jayce strays outside of the contracted lines and Maisie must decide if their flourishing relationship can survive a breach of contract.

Excerpt

Every three-point-five seconds my thoughts drift to Maisie and the contract I delivered two days ago. I haven’t heard a response, and why should I? We never exchanged numbers. She’s had no way to reach me while I was out. We’re nothing but colleagues with a history. But that doesn’t stop me from missing her, wanting her. It all pisses me off. I have work to do and life to deal with. I knew I didn’t have time for a complication, but I can’t stop thinking about her sweet face and gorgeous ass.

I force myself to focus on the Spears case and the latest injunction Marjorie Blume has filed. She’s muddying up the waters by leaking reports of MoMo’s lengthy conviction record. What he thought was past tense is front and center. It’s my job to retrain the focus on Blume versus freedom of speech, and not his penchant for cars that don’t belong to him.

I drill into the details. Each hour spent living through Blume’s history has my temper rise by ten degrees. At the end of the day, I’m hot. She’s not a saint, and it sticks in my craw she’s made a living making people believe she is.

Focusing on Wentworth for days and Blume for what feels like ages has my blood pressure off the charts. Life is full of complications and I’m in a punishing mood because of them.

“Mr. Kavanagh,” Lisa says from the door. “It’s seven and I’m heading out. Do you need anything before I go?”

“I do—” Ms. Walker arrives behind her with the devil in her eye and a fairly well-hidden smirk. She peeks around my secretary to stare me down with a secret only the two of us share. “I do not,” I amend.

“I brought the research you requested, sir.” Maisie holds out an envelope—a familiar one, stamped confidential.

My gaze jerks from the document to her mouth: plump lips brightened with peach gloss. Christ. My chest aches. Goddamn heart. I smooth it under the pretense my tie is out of line.

“Enjoy your weekend, Lisa. I’ll finish with Ms. Walker and close up,” I say while my gaze remains trained on Maisie.

I wave her in as Lisa escapes before eight on a Friday night. As the automatic lock latches on the door, we stand and stare with silence swirling around us like the promise of what’s to come. Evening sun warms my office, but Maisie’s nipples pebble into distinct points. They draw my attention to the ripe lushness of her breasts pressed together in a skintight button-up and I can’t think of anything but her naked flesh. Because I’ve seen it. I’ve watched her writhe in ecstasy, squeezing the life from my dick.

In an instant, my mind retreats from the memory and drills into sharp focus. There’s no reason why she’s over there and I’m here and we aren’t touching. “Did you read it?” I ask.

Maisie nods. “I did. And I signed it too.”

After this shit with Wentworth, it’s important that we’re on the same page, that she’s honest with me about her feelings. She must give permission. Say it out loud and reassure me I’m not the only one suffering. “Tell me, Ms. Walker. What do you want from me?” My voice is low and jagged from need. Something my body knows all too well as it stiffens at the mere sight of her.

“I want you to f*ck me like your dirty little secret, Mr. Kavanagh.” She breathes out my name as if it’s a wish, a fucking plea for my cock to meet the back of her throat.

Lord, have mercy. Who am I to deny her? If she wishes to know the type of justice I deliver, then so be it. “Come forward for your sentence, peach.”

Blurb:
I was born to play and bred to win.

My priorities were instilled in me early on—family and football. Those ideals led me to TGU and a coach whose ironclad principles mirrored my own.

With one last college season to play, my goal was singular—get drafted. By realizing my NFL dream, I could save my family, our ranch, and the only home I’d ever known.

Two birds, one ball.

Playing hard was my only option, but there’s always a wild card.

For all of my planning and hard work, I never anticipated falling for the coach's daughter. Harper was a fair catch, but who knew loving her could be the one play to throw my career before it started or that the weight of our secret would change the game.

*The Guy in the Middle is a stand alone novel in the Underdog Series. This is Lance's story.

Blog Tour - Ruthless Knight by Ashley Jade

RUTHLESS KNIGHT (Royal Hearts Academy #2) by Ashley Jade
Release Date: January 23rd

Make sure to vote for RUTHLESS KNIGHT for January’s Most Anticipated Reads: http://bit.ly/2pmJujU

How to top Cruel Prince? Well Ashley Jade certainly succeeds with Ruthless Knight all thanks to some compelling and flawed characters. Ruthless Knight can be read as a stand-alone but why would one deprive themselves of book 1 Cruel Prince which is just as good.
Ruthless Knight is a roller coaster. A tour de force of emotions from start to beginning. Yes, the story is centered around high school, 17/18year olds and the drama that comes along like cliques, football and sex but it’s so much more. The story and its core characters here Sawyer and Cole deal with real and relatable issues. Issues that hits home for most people and the author doesn’t hold back when it comes to showing the dark and ugly sides to those. There’s nothing flattering about it and there shouldn’t be. It’s real, brutal and it hurts like hell.

Sawyer (The Bible Thumper) Church and the popular Quarterback Cole Covington. I absolutely adored these two. In book 1 I had no doubt that there was something going on or there was potential for some given the poking Cole did at Sawyer. Some fascination of some sorts. In Ruthless Knight Sawyer and Cole truly shine. They’re young and make plenty of mistakes but I couldn’t blame them given the track card of issues they share from their past and now the present.
How is it possible that two so very different and opposite characters complete and complement each other so flawlessly. Again it’s all thanks to the author and her storytelling. I feel her love for the characters and their story that it jumps off the pages. Ashley Jade lets her characters take their time and it pays off. Their time to make mistakes and learn from them. To grow up and to let go.

Ruthless Knight is one hell of a book. Not only has #Sole claimed my heart but so have the other characters. Despite their flaws they have strong personalities but most importantly they have heart. This series and its characters keeps on delivering. Wow!

Excerpt:
I open my mouth to speak, but Bianca beats me to it. “In Cole’s defense, he told me not to hook up with any guys. He never said anything about girls, though.” Smirking, she adds, “Plus, it’s not like he was there. He was too busy hanging out with his new girlfriend, Sawyer.” On second thought, maybe locking her up in the basement isn’t such a bad idea after all. There would be way less shit for her to stir up from down there. I can tell the exact moment Jace processes what she said because the little vein in his forehead makes an appearance. “Sawyer? As in Dylan’s best friend, Sawyer?” “Do you know any other Sawyers?” “I told you to stay away from her.” “You also told me not to fuck Mrs. Bennett, but she ended up giving me an A in history.” “Holy shit. You fucked Cortland’s mom?” Bianca exclaims. We both ignore her. “Look,” Jace starts. “Dylan doesn’t want you hanging around Sawyer. Not after what you did to her.” “I’m sorry, last I checked, I’m a big boy and Dylan doesn’t get to make decisions for me.” “Yeah,” Bianca cheers. Jace’s gaze swings her way. “Go upstairs.” “Whatever.” She fixes her stare on Oakley. “I’m gonna call *** and see if she wants to hang out.” Oakley makes a low growling sound as she scampers away. When she’s out of earshot, he says, “***** is a sweet girl, Jace. You need to put an end to that shit.” Huffing out a breath, Jace motions to me. “Yeah, after I put out the other fire.” “Me dating Sawyer isn’t a fire.” It’s a motherfucking
atomic bomb.

Blog Tour - Reverend of Silence by Pamela Sparkman

A coming of age story about faith, love, and overcoming society's prejudices during the American Antebellum period.
In 1810, Lucy Hallison suffered from a severe illness at the age of three, and later recovered, a deaf-mute. Unable to relate to the world in which she lives, she’s often ignored and sometimes treated with cruelty. Until a boy, Samuel Burke, steps into her life at the tender age of seven, coloring her world and showing her what it means to be seen, to not be invisible, to be understood.
The two become inseparable childhood friends, and as they grow and mature, there is the promise and hope of something more that also grows between them. But the hope of something more is put on hold so she can attend The American Asylum at Hartford for the Deaf and Dumb, the first of its kind, requiring her to leave the only home she’s ever known and the only boy she’s ever loved.
But while she is away, tragedy strikes, and Samuel is now the one unable to relate to the world in which he lives, unable to find his own voice, and withdrawing from everyone and everything he’s ever known.
When Lucy returns home from school, she has one goal in mind—to put color back into his world the way he had once put color into hers.
Because Samuel Burke had been her voice when she had needed him most.
Now, she is determined to be his.
Note: Inspired by real people and true historical accounts.

I couldn’t fathom the challenges the deaf people faced in the 1820’s but they were pretty huge. Reverend of Silence is a fantastic book. A powerful and inspiring book. The author tells her story through two families. Samuel Burke and his reverend father and mother.
Lucy Hallison, her brother Noah, their 3 other older siblings and their parents.
Lucy is a deaf 7 year old who is invisible to her family and her surroundings. That is until Samuel enters her classroom and changes not only her life but her family’s too.

Samuel doesn’t turn his back on the girl everyone ignores and teases because of her disability. No, he gets angry once he discovers that Lucy is deaf. He, Lucy and her brother Noah forms a friendship. A beautiful and pure friendship.
Samuel changes so many lives with his views and outlook on life. Lucy blooms as the years passes because she’s finally seen. By Samuel of course but most of all by her family.
The struggles and growth these two families go through are heartbreaking, heartfelt and inspiring.
I fell hard for Sam, Lucy and Noah. For their parents. There was no hate or fear. Just love and admiration.

Pamela Sparkman has created a brilliant literary and historical fiction. A coming of age story which captures the disadvantages and struggles deaf people had to experience in that era. It’s difficult to read at times because the hate and bigotry people had towards deaf people was sad and real. Based on ignorance. Throughout this emotional story shines a gorgeous love story. A story that is worth a read. I’m so grateful to have experienced it.

Why do I keep doing this to myself? Why do I put myself through all this angst and heartbreak? Ella Fields that’s why! She puts me through hell with Willa and Jackson. Makes me frustrated and pissed as hell but the pay off is so damn worth it.

Hearts and Thorns is an addictive step siblings romance. So entertaining and even though I could anticipate the mistakes Willa and Jackson were about to make I couldn’t look away. I didn’t want to! I’m a glutton for punishment. Oh boy did these two screw up big time. They are young, they’re in love and it’s forbidden. They were bound to make mistakes and indeed they did. It hurt. How they both treated each other was uncomfortable and sad but their redemption arc back to one another was fabulous. There was no doubt that there was only one love in this story. Willa and Jackson’s love and it was inevitable. They were meant to be even though they couldn’t/wouldn’t see or admit it at times.

Hearts and Thorns is another roller coaster of a story. Ella Fields takes the reader on a journey where you get to experience all range of emotions through these flawed characters. I sure as hell did. What can I say except Ella Fields knows how to pull on my heartstrings and she succeeds again with Hearts and Thorns. I need a drink now!

Jackson Thorn was my best friend and worst enemy, but that didn’t stop me from wanting him.
From first words to high school halls, our childhood years braided a bond that wove in a direction neither of us could predict or outgrow.
Forbidden became a word we ignored. It wasn’t that we didn’t care. It was that we cared too much.
We had it all planned out. We thought we could make it. We thought we’d been careful. But all we managed to do was prolong the inevitable. Our destruction.
Hearts and Thorns is a standalone full length new adult novel from bestselling author, Ella Fields.
