Synopsis

What a page turner!
I truly could not put this one down.
Mel Henry had me so wrapped up in her story.
I really enjoyed getting to know Carly Cooper from a young age, high school through adulthood.
We meet Carly as she is on her way to her high school reunion. She has some flashback memories and well... Carly does not have a typical family life. She has a mousy mother and an overbearing stepfather she feels doesn't really care for her.
Josh McCarthy is the lead singer of South Station Boyz, the "it" band.
He is every girls dream with his curly hair, blue eyes and a voice to melt hearts.
Carly, a senior in high school, was visiting colleges to see where she would go once she graduated. While on a visit to Northwestern in Chicago, Carly meets the sexy Josh at a night club while out with some new friends.
Josh and Carly are drawn to each other and hit it off, having a fun night getting to know each other.
And so a bond to last a long time is formed.
This is the story of how two people deal with a relationship through difficulties such as distance and time apart. Carly and Josh are from two very different worlds but they seem to make it work, for a while.
That is until life comes in and they seem to drift.
Will the bonds of young love be enough to get them through the distance Josh's career puts them though?
Make sure you keep your tissues handy.
I so enjoyed the feel of being with Carly as she was going through all the tribulations life threw at her.
This is a must read for any romantic.
Though there were times I wanted to throttle Josh, he definitely made up or it. There were a few times where I questioned if he was as honest with Carly as she was with him but, he made her happy.

Author Bio
Mel Henry has been an avid reader since stealing her first Harlequin from her mom’s nightstand in second grade. Because some words were too big for her seven-year-old vocabulary, she took to writing her own stories (much to the relief of her teacher) and has been doing so ever since.
After having held various jobs in her life that brought her no satisfaction and only a piddly income, she decided to publish her first book. She figured being a starving artist instead of just starving sounded much more interesting. Being able to do it in her pajamas and no make-up are just perks to the job.
Living in Iowa with her husband and a couple of teenaged kids, Mel’s an avid cook (sometimes by choice), traveler (always by choice), and a hardcore warrior against chronic Lyme disease (definitely not by choice). She loves concerts, thunderstorms, and good coffee. She loathes conspiracy theories, egotistical people, and sushi.
She is currently collaborating with three other authors on a project, and has the foundation in place for her next series. In the meantime, you can find her current works on Amazon and other online booksellers.

Synopsis
