I had such a great time being in the company of Leo, Cassie, Christoffer and Arabella. Burn was a thrilling and entertaining story that kept me glued to the pages. I simply couldn’t get enough of these characters.

The story kicks of with a death and from that point on it’s full steam ahead. Cassie and Leo are freaking amazing and intoxicating. From their first stare off to them slowly getting to know one another to them getting involved emotionally and intimately. Their chemistry is off the charts hot and Leo has a deliciously dirty mouth. A catnip of mine and couldn’t stop drooling and wishing I was in Cassie’s shoes.

Leo has a few skeletons in his closet and they have made him the man he is today. Flawed, tough and ruthless and when it comes to Cassie it’s doubled cause he will do anything to make sure she’s safe and his. I didn’t like Cassie at first. She came off as a little naive but she slowly comes out of her shell and finds her voice thanks to Leo.

Burn has its twists and turns along the way and I enjoyed that cause it sets up book 2 perfectly. An ending I didn’t expect but am so excited about cause I get to be with these characters for another book.

Zero Apologies continues immediately where Zero Regret ended. The pace was a little slow for me to begin with but the story quickly got its footing and picked up its pace and I was immersed as I always am when I’m reading a Lost Kings book.

Lilly showed how strong she truly is and if she’s capable of being an ol’ lady to a Lost King. I really enjoyed watching her grow over these three books and come to terms with what and who she wants in her life. Z and his Loki family is who she needs and wants to be a part of.

Z once again made me swoon, ache and soar. All he sees is Lilly and their son Chance and will do anything to show the people and his club how devoted he is. To them and to his club.

The old gang was there to support Z and Lilly. This tribe holds a special place in my heart. Murphy, Teller, Wrath, Rock and Z enjoy busting each other’s balls and there’s plenty of it in ZA. The ol’ ladies have their fun too. New faces such as Rooster and Jigsaw has made an impression on me. There’s still plenty of story left to tell. The epilogue is definitely proof of that!

Next up is Murphy and Heidi’s wedding and I can’t freaking wait!

This is how you write a romantic comedy to my hearts desires. OMG! The Guy On The Right was a blast! Hilarious, cute and romantic as hell. I even got as close as to pissing myself. Yup that’s right. Theo and Laney are insanely funny. A hoot. So opposite but so so right for one another. They just work.

Theo is a good guy who doesn’t get all the girls. He doesn’t want all the girls. He wants the ONE and all the emotions that comes along with it. He’s not a one night stand kind of guy and like his roommates.

Theo meets the outspoken and spontaneous Laney outside in the dark at a party. Even though they can’t see each other’s faces the connection is immediately. They unload on each other thinking they will never meet again. Well think again.

The second time the meet each other I was done for. Theo and Laney had me. Hook, line and sinker.

Their friendship and courtship was filled with so much humor, romance and laugh out loud moments. Starting with an instagram page. It was truly a beautiful friendship in the making and as they started to spend more time together, stripping layers of each other, they both discovered how special this bond they had created was. The build up was flawlessly written and as the story and their friendship progressed I started yearning for them to just give in and KISS. The pent up tension was insane and the reward was explosive. So damn hot and so worth it.

As opposites as Theo and Laney are they complement each other perfectly. Their families and friends especially Theo’s 3 older sisters and Laney’s mother and bestie Devin are fun and deliver memorable moments too.

The Guy On The Right is the perfect feel good, laugh out loud, swoon worthy summer book. Strangers who become best friends who become so much more than lovers. It’s a roller coaster of laughs and romance. From sniping hunting, to getting high to a tornado. Just to name a few highlights. It’s not even half of it. Just jump on board the Kate Stewart express and hold on for the ride.

Kate Stewart delivered comedy with her Balls In Play series and with The Guy On The Right she excels and has created a home run. Theo and Laney gave me all I could’ve ever imagined. A love story to remember. What a couple!

Severance was my first book by N.N. Britt and let me say she blew me away with this hauntingly real new adult romance.

Severance tackles sensitive topics such as shooting and PTSD. N.N. Britt has created a very authentic story which slowly crept under my skin and wouldn’t leave.

Alana and Mikah survives a shooting but 24 others don’t including Mikah’s younger brother Dakota who’s also Alana’s boyfriend.

Severance is Alana’s story. Her before and after. Both parts equally important to the story, for Alana and who she was and now is becoming.

She and Mikah are forever changed after that fateful night. They now share a connection and even though Alana didn’t have a friendship with Mikah she seeks him out. To still have something of her boyfriend and for the feeling Mikah gives her. Anything but lost and the endless disconnect she feels whenever she’s around her deeply religious parents or her best friend Jess, who’s also a survivor, but on a different path than Alana.

The author portrays Alana with an authenticity that felt too real at times. Alana and her anxiety, nightmares and wanting justice for her boyfriend and the other victims was flawlessly portrayed. The feeling of being lost and scared was something that was always present throughout the story.

Alana and Mikah share a connection but it’s so much more than that. The Before and After chapters just work. They gave me a sense of who Alana was and how she saw Mikah. It’s not just Alana substituting Dakota for his older brother Mikah. It’s about moving on and finding comfort in others that helps you do that. Mikah is what Alana needs but it’s not easy when he’s also battling his own demons. Their chemistry is electrifying and always sizzling just beneath the surface. When they give in to one another it’s like a lightning bolt.

N.N. Britt is a new to me author but after finishing Severance she’s an author I will look forward to reading more from. Very impressive and fabulous.

I shove away the damp blanket and prop myself against the headboard, my eyes darting around the dark room, searching for something familiar, searching for something to latch on to, but there’s nothing. Nothing except for the package I’m too scared to touch. Bang! Bang! Bang! Stay down! Don’t move. I can’t seem to catch my breath. There’s a scream stuck in my lungs and it desperately wants to come out. She’s bleeding. Get a paramedic here. How many fingers do you see? Can you hear me, sweetie? I pull my legs up to my chest and rock my body, wanting to stop the noise from getting into my head. Is anyone still inside? I’m looking for my brother. Sweetie, I need you to let me see your hands. Up until now, the memories of the aftermath have been only a shapeless blur. I’m not sure why it’s all coming back to me now, at four in the morning. I remember the police arriving and more gunshots. I remember the paramedics taking me outside. I remember sitting in the van while some woman in uniform is trying to talk to me, and I remember watching Mikah moving through the crowd outside the club. There’s blood dripping down his cheek, but I don’t think he’s hurt. I think the blood is mine. He stops one of the officers and asks him questions, and I can tell by how fast his hands move that he’s panicking. There’s a short exchange and then they’re gone. Now I’m in the hospital, and my parents tell me Dakota was shot to death during the attack. That’s all I get. No details. They don’t tell me how many times he was shot or where he was standing when it happened or if it was an instant death or a slow one where he lay there, terrified, watching the horror around him. I replay this moment in my head several times, wondering if I should have said or done something differently. Cried maybe. But I didn’t. I just sat there in silence, my hands and my face bleeding. I sat there waiting to wake up, waiting to snap back into my normal life. But it never happened.
