Blurb:
The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old and we shared a summer beneath the stars.

The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.

We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars...until we both got swept away.
I feel like I’ve been on a vacation to St. Thomas thanks to Kate Stewart ‘s beautiful writing. Her imagery is spectacular and I could easily picture this island before me. It was so vivid to me. The ocean, the people and the weather. The scenery was portrayed effortlessly that there was no doubt that I was on St. Thomas.

Koti and Ian have history together. They were kids but that doesn’t make it less memorable. When she was six and he was thirteen a friendship was formed. Now many years later they’re standing in front of one another on St. Thomas. Both with a whole lot of baggage in tow. Their first meeting is haunting and intense. Minimal words are spoken but it’s captured so poignantly because of Stewart’s flawless prose.
Ian is a mess because of a divorce and takes it out on Koti. It’s causes a lot of tension with so much heat and chemistry. Their bantering is fabulous and fun. I couldn’t stop smiling.
Koti has also been running from something like Ian. Thanks to the island and their slowly growing friendship they start to find their way back. Back from being or feeling lost to a new life. One they start enjoying with each other.

Koti suffers from anxiety. The island has a profound impact on Koti. She finds herself and starts living her life for her and not what her parents wants and expects of her.
Ian is one moody and angry guy when he first shows up on St. Thomas. Isolating himself but Koti and her wonderful ways slowly breaks Ian’s walls down. A cute dog Disco helps too.
Their friendship is incredible with them going down memory lane when they were kids. At the same time they’re trying to fight the sizzling attraction cause Ian is only on St. Thomas for a limited time. When they finally give in it’s a relief and a beautiful release for the both of them. Their connection is freaking captivating and so intense giving me all the feels. I knew it was going to hurt later on cause their time together was limited. They find comfort and solace in one another. A lot of soul searching too given their current circumstances.

Someone Else’s Ocean hit close to home for me. I could easily relate to feeling lost and just needing an escape. For Koti and Ian St. Thomas is the perfect escape. Their blooming relationship is a beautiful journey. Not only do they fall in love but they also find themselves and their true desires in life.
Someone Else’s Ocean is truly the perfect summer read. Full of laughs thanks to Koti’s fabulous friend Jasmine, a heartwarming bond between Ian and his daughter Ella and two soul mates finally finding each other on an Island. What more can a reader ask for in a romance.

Release Blitz - No One But You by Alexandra Silva

Title: No One But You
Author: Alexandra Silva
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 27, 2018

Blurb

QUINCY

They say bad things happen in threes…

I made a mistake. I kissed the right boy, but married the wrong man. They were friends. Best friends. Until my life fell apart.
Everything changed.
Something was stolen and then something was given in its place.
I had so much in my grasp, maybe it was too much because everything started slipping.
My son.
My husband.
My sanity.
Only one thing remained the same.
My first crush.
My first kiss.
My first love.

JAMIE

They say you can’t miss what you’ve never had…

But I swear I had her. At least for one kiss.
I left the right girl and tried to replace her with the wrong woman.
It didn’t work because I still missed her.
I promised my best friend I’d always look after his little sister. And our other best friend promised to never break her heart.
He lied.
I didn’t.

We have circled each other all our lives but our time never came.
We’ve never had our moment until now.
I have to be honest and say that the first couple of chapters of No One But You left me confused because many characters were introduced without context but as soon as I figured out who they were I was deep immersed in Quincy and Jamie’s story.

No One But You was really refreshing because of its characters and their current situations. They were real and relatable. Quincy and Jamie are both divorced, single parents and free to date who ever they want but there are only one person they’re both interested in and have been for years. What got in their way was life and timing. Their shared history is a whirlwind of emotions from butterflies to disappointment, loss and love. There’s no doubt that from the first time I meet them in No One But You that what they have together is unique. I really enjoyed every aspect of their friendship. The loyalty, support and love they have and show one another are incredible but also proves why it was always suppose to be Quincy and Jamie. The people who they dated and were with before never stood a chance.

Life and timing truly got in the way of them being together but when they finally have the chance they seize it. Watching them finally giving in to one another and their feelings were worth the wait and exciting. Jamie wanted to do all the right things. Date and woo Quincy and it was so sweet and hot as hell. Quincy just wanted Jamie. Their chemistry was off the charts.
Jamie and Quincy are two fabulous characters. Quincy is my kind of heroine. Strong and when she makes mistakes she acknowledges them and get back on her feet. Jamie is a man who loves fiercely and wants do anything for his woman but he also knows when and how to help Quincy when she needs it the most.
The secondary characters especially Jamie’s two sisters Dorian and Willow are terrific and so much fun. They are best friends with Quincy and together they’re a hoot. The same can be said for Jamie’s mother.

No One But You is a fabulous debut from Alexandra Silva. She takes a sensitive topic as stillborn. Handles this tough topic with care and respect in this story. She’s managed to create a story that feels real thanks to some strong and appealing characters. I’m ready for more and very excited about her next book.

Excerpt

“A penny for your thoughts?”
I swear every time he talks to me my heart just about explodes out of my chest. Jamie’s voice is so different. It’s changed. It’s deeper and rumbly, and it makes me think and imagine things that I don’t usually go out of my way to think about let alone imagine. It makes my belly do acrobatics and my mouth water.
How is that possible? How can his voice alone do that to me?
“Are you still angry with me?” He asks as he sits on the edge of the hot tub my parents had installed on the first floor balcony.
It’s such a pretty view. The water and the trees that surround one side of it with all the beautiful grey, white and light blue lake houses that line it in a cosy and enclosed U. You can just make out the green rolling hills surrounding us with the large church spire just about breaking the treeline. It’s just so wonderfully beautiful.
“I’m not upset with you,” I hear myself reply even though I am a little.
To be honest I think I’m a little more heartbroken that he’s leaving than I am angry. I was so looking forward to having Jamie around at Oxford, but he’s going to do an Overseas Exchange to UCLA so he can learn from some great minds like Doctor Wilson Weller—a teaching and practicing Neurosurgery god. Or whatever Jamie calls him. Phillip decided to stay close to home at UCL even though he got an offer to Oxford just like Jamie and Richard did three years ago. He doesn’t want to leave his new girlfriend, Jamie’s sister and one of my best friends, behind. I think I’m a little bit jealous of them, even if am happy for them. Jamie is just coming round to the idea, and I know that the only reason why he came to find me is probably because he still doesn’t know how to handle them being so touchy and lovey dovey with one another.
“You’re not?” He shuffles closer until the side of his thigh touches mine.
His legs are different too. They have a light smattering of hair that kind of matches his chest and the trail down from his navel. I can’t help but run my eyes down his slightly defined torso and down the light trail of fuzz that leads down to the top of his shorts, all the way down his shorts to his thighs and knees.
I’m so distracted by all his golden skin that I don’t even realise how fast my heart is beating until I feel the hammering in my chest pulsing up my neck to the back of my throat.
 Seriously?
My skin heats as he wraps his arm around my bare shoulders. His thumbs lightly strumming the string holding my bikini top up around my neck. It’s like the sun shines brighter in that moment and the UV rays become laser strong and solely focused on me.
“Then why did you throw the Uni hamper we gave you in the bin?”
“Because it’s stupid. I don’t need wine and condoms and…”
“You say that now, but when you get there you’ll be thankful. You don’t want to be caught short, the dial-a-condom service isn’t as discreet or anonymous as you think.”
“Guys don’t even look at me like that.” I shrug.
He goes super still next to me. His arm becomes slightly heavier on my shoulders and his thumb tucks under the halter neck string of my red bikini top. He clears his throat and I can hear his Adam’s apple bob as he swallows.
“Quincy, that’s not true. Believe me, my sisters have made it a point to tell me every chance they get.”
He pulls me closer to him so that I have no other option but to rest my head on his shoulder.
“Why would they do that?” I mumble into the soft skin of his shoulder.
It’s shiny and taught. It wraps flawlessly around his lean muscled arms with the odd sun freckle here and there. He smells briny and citrusy. A combination of his cologne, sweat and the lake water.
I inhale deeply as his shoulders shake with humour.
Wait, why is he laughing at me?
“Why are you laughing at me?”
He clears his throat again before he sighs, “You have no idea.”
“No idea of what?”
Our eyes lock as I look up at him. His bright blue eyes are like ocean blue sparkling glass as the sun lights them up. They have these silvery grey flecks that bleed to the edges of his irises and form these thin dark rings that are only marginally lighter than his pupil.
“You’re so pretty…so beautiful…”
It’s like he can read my mind and steal the words on the tip of my tongue as he reaches for my hair with his hand and wraps it with my long tresses.
And if my heart wasn’t already hammering into my ribcage it’s now batter ramming its way out like it’s trying to break free or get closer to his heart.
I don’t know. All I know is that I can’t actually say anything. I can’t verbalise with the way that he’s looking at me. The way his eyes are eating up every inch of my face and the way they flitter down to my chest and then up to my lips.
His wet and shiny pink tongue darts out and moistens his lower lip before he draws said lip in with his teeth and bites down so hard that the blood and colour drain around the trenches his teeth have made.
I can’t help but mimic him with my own tongue and lips and teeth. He gasps lightly and as my eyes meet his again the pupils are so big that there is only a perfectly slim ring of silver speckled cerulean surrounding them. And I can’t breathe. The air feels too hot and dry. And thick? Why does the air feel so thick? It feels like I’m filling my lungs with invisible oil. My lungs feel so full that they have to push the air back out in deep and long unsteady breaths.
The arm around my shoulders falls and he brings his hand up to cup my cheek. And I know what’s happening because I’ve seen it in films and I’ve seen other people around us kiss. I can even kind of picture it in my mind—what we must look like right now. But I still can’t quite comprehend why he’s coming closer to me. Why his breathing is just as manic as mine. I can’t understand why he’s about to kiss me with wide eyes and desperate breaths. The hand in my hair tugs slightly and my face tilts marginally so that our lips touch.
Oh, God.
His warm lips are so soft and so tender as they brush over mine and I want to throw my arms around his neck, straddle his lap and just fucking devour him.
Fuck, I’m like some lust crazed person.
I don’t even know how I manage to stay so still with all those thoughts and all the electricity zapping through me.
I don’t know what to do next. If I should open my mouth or lick his lips. Whether I should touch him. I want to touch. I am touching him.
He’s groaning as he licks my lips and as my hands hold on to his waist so tight that my nails bite into his flesh. But then it’s not just my nails biting into his skin, it’s his teeth sinking into my lower lip. It’s his hand cupping my face so hard that I know it should hurt, I know that it’ll leave a mark, but I don’t care because it feels so fucking good. It’s his fingers weaving so tightly into my hair that the sting makes me want to pull on his hair too.
I can’t help the strangled moan that escapes my mouth as he slips his tongue inside and licks my own.
I’ve never kissed or been kissed like this before and even though I’m unpractised and new to this, my hands seem to be in the know as they travel brazenly down his sides to the top of his swimming shorts and as unsure as I am, I know that I want to slip my hands under the elastic and become acquainted with every last inch of his sexy skin.
Shit, I don’t think I’ve ever used that word to describe another person, let alone a boy…a man. Jamie.
He grumbles a shallow growl right at the back of his throat as my fingertips skim around the navy elastic of his shorts. His tongue licks deeper and twirls around mine.
I want more. I want to tell him that I want it too, but I don’t want to stop kissing him back and I have this unsure tightness in chest that makes me bashful and fearful that he’d reject me anyway.
I want him to touch me in ways that I’ve only heard other girls boast and brag that they’d been touched. I want his mouth and his tongue to taste a lot more than just my own.
Before I even realise it we’re both standing in the middle of the warm, soft rolling water and his hands are squeezing my bum cheeks to the point that I think they’ll leave bruises. And it makes me feel excited in ways that I’ve never felt before and it makes me feel like a livewire.
All this and he never stops our kiss. His tongue tastes mine with a ferocity that feels like years of need all at once. I rove my hands up his sides and his back, relishing the feel of his muscles pulling and tightening under his hot skin. By the time my hands round to his chest and travel up to his hair our bodies are completely flush and my boobs feel even bigger and heavier than they already are. My nipples feel sore like they’re being pinched and pulled and there’s this familiar, yet new ache that’s building between my legs and the bubbling water is only making that ache stronger whilst making it feel better at the same time.
I’ve never felt the arousal of a man, but I can feel his and it’s pressing deliciously to my lower belly. I feel the heat creep up my neck and flush my cheeks and all I want to do is find a way of getting closer. My fingers tighten their grip in his sun bleached brown hair and I can’t help but pull him down to me, even as I feel him softly pull away.
No. Please don’t stop.

EXCERPT:

The crowd parts as a lone figure stalks out from one of the side rooms. A nondescript gray hoodie covers his face, but from the few gasps of those closest to the action, they know who he is. When he makes it to the center of the ring to stand by Kieran, Rosie and I use each other as leverage to perch on our toes for a better view. Slowly, almost as if he both dreads and relishes this part, Jason lowers the hood, exposing his face to the crowd. Just as jeers break out, he continues to disrobe until he's wearing nothing but a pair of faded, ripped jeans. Silence descends on the basement. "Oh my God," Rosie breathes. "I don't even like dick, but my panties are absolutely drenched right now." I can't get my lungs working enough to respond, but I concur. All his time in the gym has paid off in dividends. Every inch of Jason's torso is corded with thick muscle. He could give any of the football team, wrestling team, basketball team...hell, any team a run for their money. About the Author:

Thwack.
Thwack.
Thwack.

“Fack!” It was another one of the hundreds of curses that erupted from the Kemp kitchen.

With wide eyes, I watched the wood fly across the porch and onto the sand and heard another loud crash as I stalked the house next door with my phone pressed to my ear.

“So how is my son?” His mother asked as I saw more of Rowan Kemp’s kitchen fly over the railing, off the porch, and into the sand. “Is he adjusting well?”

“Damnit! Oh, fack your motha,” Ian’s voice rang out in frustration. Giggling, I covered the mouthpiece of the phone as another cabinet door hit the sand. He’d been at it for a few hours. It started with an explosive phone call that I managed to avoid mostly due to my taking cover in the shower and ended with a bang.

“He... is. It looks like he’s remodeling the kitchen.”

In a flash, Ian stood on the porch only in shorts, his chest heaving, a bottle of the red in his hand. He studied the wood in the sand before he glanced at my house. I ducked out of his line of sight and answered her before more banging started. “He’s fine.”

“Oh, that’s wonderful news. Maybe you could put him on the phone?”

More growling ensued and then a clear, “Damn you! EISH!”

“Well, at the moment, I think it would be impossible, he’s in the midst of demolition.”

I cringed at the ripping sound and poked my head out of my screen door just as he hurled more wood over the railing.

“You know he’s always been so good at things like that. He built his father a beautiful bookshelf for his study.”

“That’s wonderful,” I said, as Ian unloaded an entire can of lighter fluid on the discarded wood. I raced around the bottom floor of my house and collected every fire extinguisher I had before I sat them next to my front door. Seconds later I heard the whoosh of the wood go up in flames. The rising inferno seemed to fuel him as he added more of his mother’s kitchen to it piece by piece.

Rowan went on, speaking of her pride and joy. “From boy scouts all the way through college, my boy excelled at everything he did. Honor student, swimming, tennis. I had to beat the women away with a stick.”

Ian chose that moment to snap another cabinet door in half over his knee and used his empty wine bottle to bat it into the burning pile.

“You don’t say.”

“Oh, yes, he was such a ladies’ man before he met Tara, his ex-wife.”

Only mildly prepared, I walked out onto my porch at the same time Ian returned to it. He had several photo books in his hand. Rowan whispered in my ear as if he could hear her. “I was never really that fond of her, she seemed a little cold compared to his warmth.”

Ian pulled pictures from the books and began to burn them one by one. Something in my chest split as he walked around Rowan Kemp’s burning kitchen cabinets, tossing away what I was sure were irreplaceable pictures.

He had lost his shit. It was, without a doubt, Ian’s doomsday.

“Don’t!” I screamed from where I stood.

Ian ignored me as he tossed an entire book into the fire before shaking another so that the pictures fed the flames.

“Koti? What is it?” Rowan said anxiously on the phone.

“Oh nothing, I was just...”

“Is everything okay?”

“Oh, fine,” I said, as I paced the porch watching her son destroy his mother’s memories. He must have found the pictures in the linen closet. The Kemps had very few of their own things in the house.

“Rowan, I’m going to ask him if he needs any help.”

“Okay,” she said hesitantly. “But please ask him to ring me.”

“Will do.” I was already running toward the small bonfire just as Ian tossed another picture into it.

“What are you doing!?”

“Privacy,” he said through thick lips. “That’s all I asked for.”

“Kind of hard to ignore you, Ian. Since you’ve gone all Tom Hanks Castaway—me man, me make fire!” I reached for the picture in his hand as he tossed it in. I watched it burn. It was a shot of a woman in her wedding dress who I assumed was Tara. She looked beautiful as she smiled at her groom. I was only able to admire Ian in a well-fitted tux for seconds before the fire engulfed the photo.

Jesus, what could have happened?

“Ian, if you want to talk about it…”

He picked up another book and took a few pictures out shoving them into his pocket before he tossed it into the pile.

“Leave.”

“Please stop. You don’t understand what you’re doing.”

Blazing eyes scoured me before he looked back at the fire. “I know exactly what the fuck I’m doing.”

Sweat pooled on his forehead. He was covered in splintered wood. Ian Kemp had cracked, and he wasn’t coming back until he was ready.

Way too far into his headspace, he ignored me standing next to him.

I walked back to my house and watched him dismantle years of memories as he stared at the fire until it went out.

And then the house next to mine went completely quiet.

Meet P. Dangelico
Dangelico loves romance in all forms, cuddly creatures (four legged and two), really bloody sexy pulp, the NY Jets (although she’s reconsidering after this season), and to while away the day at the barn (apparently she does her best thinking shoveling horse crap). What she’s not enamored with is referring to herself in the third person and social media so don’t expect her to get on Twitter anytime soon. Oh, and although she was born in Italy, she’s been Jersey Strong since she turned six.

Release Blitz - Young Love by Alyson Santos

Title: Young Love
Author: Alyson Santos
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 25, 2018

Blurb

Sometimes you need to let yourself fall…

Recently divorced Sienna Porter has the life she’s supposed to. A house, career, even a hot young contractor working upstairs to distract her. At thirty-eight, she’s entitled to a little fun (according to her best friend, anyway).

Pain, though— it’s so clever in the way it infects hope and poisons happiness.

Jace Beckett should be flying high. Talented, driven, and disciplined, he’s far beyond his twenty-three years. He’s used to the game, the attention his looks and highly-trained body get from women. Doesn’t mean he likes to play.

Doesn’t mean his own secrets aren’t intent on tearing him down.

It’s just a fling. Sexy. Temporary. It’s not supposed to last. It’s not supposed to transform into love. It’s certainly not supposed to become the air you breathe and everything worth fighting for.

Once in a while a person comes along who changes your entire outlook on life and how you view yourself. For Sienna that person is Jace who changes her life irrevocably. Up until she meets Jace her life has been pretty mundane. Sienna is divorced and doesn’t have a good relationship with her ex, her work is now her only constant with her being a consultant and has a knack for numbers. The people in her life, her friend Karen and her mother, only criticize and puts her down so her self esteem is at her lowest.

When Jace enters her life Sienna is cautious but soon feels that this twenty three year old man has something special about him.
Their friendship and relationship as lovers is based upon respect and bringing out the best in one another. Jace doesn’t like the word “can’t” in his vocabulary and does everything to teach Sienna the same. Nothing is impossible.
Jace is such an enigmatic man but when he lets Sienna inside she sees what a special and strong man he truly is. The responsibility he takes on for the people that matters the most to him.
The growth and evolution Sienna embarks upon thanks to Jace is incredible and worth reading and experiencing. She goes from a timid to a powerful woman where once she sits her mind on something it’s going to be achieved.

Alyson Santos masters contemporary romance with a flawless ease and has created likable and captivating characters. Young Love is so much more than age being hindrance for love. This is all about the characters and their journey. Together and individually.
