Release Blitz - Perfectly Adequate by Jewel E. Ann

PA - RB banner

“Another brilliantly written winner. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up, you will not regret it.” —Kate Stewart, USA Today bestselling author

Perfectly Adequate, an all-new must-read romantic comedy from Jewel E. Ann, is available now!

PerfectlyAdequate-ebookFINAL
Dr. Elijah Hawkins needs … something.
After his wife jumps headfirst into a midlife crisis, he’s left with his young son, Roman, and a lot of unanswered questions.
That something turns out to be a someone—Dorothy Mayhem, nursing student, patient transporter, reckless driver, and emu owner.
Dorothy studies humans, the neurotypical kind, through books and television. Then she emulates their behavioral patterns to fit in with her peers.
But nothing can prepare her for Dr. Elijah Hawkins.
Single dad.
Brilliant pediatric oncologist.
And the sexiest doctor at the hospital.
When his failed attempts at asking her out turn into a string of playdates with his son, Dorothy finds herself unexpectedly enamored with the boy and his father.
And that’s a problem, a huge one, because Elijah’s ex-wife is a famous plastic surgeon—and Dorothy’s idol.
Perfectly Adequate is a beautiful, hilarious, and heart-felt journey along the “human” spectrum.

Dorothy Mayhem! What a character and what a woman. She’s been diagnosed with ASD and it affects her socially, how she views her surroundings and interact with people. She has no filter whatsoever and that definitely made me giggle numerous times because of her honest outbursts whether it was during sex or because she couldn’t tell a lie. There’s no doubt that Dorothy is a good and sweet human being. She sees the best in people and values the small things in life.

Elijah is swept off his feet when he sees and talks to Dorothy in her color coordinated clothes and her red Nikes. Intrigued and captivated by her and he’s totally inexperienced when it comes to asking a woman on a date.
Dorothy and Elijah is amazing and so much fun. He doesn’t look at Dorothy as a person with ASD no he looks at her as Dorothy. The most kindhearted and best woman on the planet. She has her routines and structure which can be difficult for some to accept and grow accustomed to but for Elijah it’s a fresh breath of air. For him it’s all about Dorothy.
Elijah has a son Roman who Dorothy hits it off with immediately and it doesn’t hurt that she has two emus and a dog.

Perfectly Adequate is a cute and hilarious romantic comedy. Once again Jewel E. Ann accomplishes writing a special story with well developed characters who have so much heart. She handles ASD with care and her portrayal of Dorothy is honest and heartfelt. Perfectly Adequate is a gorgeous treasure.

Blurb:
My first love was my brother’s best friend.
A lead singer in their band. A picture of rugged perfection. And a drunk soul mate who couldn’t commit.
My second love was an arrogant baseball player.
A player in every sense of the word. A smooth-talking, reliable best friend. And a chance at something beautiful and true.
The problem with having a first and second love? That would be loving them at the same time.
My story isn’t some sexy triangle. It’s exquisite agony.
Fate gave me two men to love, but none of us knew which one I could keep.

What is about Ella Fields and angst. She excels at it and also at driving me freaking crazy. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. My heart and nerves couldn’t take it. Serenading Heartbreak is just that. Heartbreak and hurt but those emotions only come because you feel. You love. And that’s exactly what Stevie did. She loved so fiercely and so deep. She loved two guys and they loved her back.
Serenading Heartbreak is a love triangle and Ella Fields doesn’t hold back telling and exploring Stevie’s journey falling in love with Everett and Aiden. I went through all ranges of emotions. It was not pretty at times. I cursed out loud. Omg did I curse all because of Stevie and her two guys. They didn’t make it easy on me. They are young and bound to make mistakes but I fell for both guys as quickly as Stevie did.
There was some awesome secondary characters especially Stevie’s best friend Adela, her work colleagues Gloria, Sabrina and her brother Hendrix.

Serenading Heartbreak delivered what I expected it and Ella Fields to do. Drive me bonkers and pulling on every emotion right until the final page. Stevie had to make a choice between two incredible guys and I was glad it wasn’t me. That’s a testament to the writing from Ella Fields. These three characters screwed up numerous times but still I came to care for them. Wanting the best for each of them no matter the outcome. Angst galore and it was fabulous!

Excerpt:
We bumped into the counter and he cursed, muttering an apology as he set me on it. Removing my jacket, I could hardly breathe when his teeth sank into my lip. His hands pulled at my tank, tugging it and my bra down over my breasts.
“Fuck.” He tore his mouth away, lowering to my chest as he unzipped his jeans.
I gripped his face, needing those lips back on mine, then I reached for his waistband, shoving his jeans and briefs down.
He helped, and then pulled me right to the edge, testing my entrance with his thumb before licking the digit and pushing my panties aside. “I still have your other pair,” he said, his breath rattling as he pushed at my opening.
“Wha–oh, shit.” He rammed inside, and my head rolled.
He slammed in and out, again and again, one hand around my leg that’d been looped behind him, and the other behind my head as he bent over and hammered into me, sucking at my throat.
It’d been so long, and I felt just how long as the discomfort slowly fled and pleasure began to flood my bloodstream. “I-I think I’m coming…”
Everett chuckled, the sound dark. “You think? Clover, when I’m fucking you, you know damn well you’re coming.” Then he lifted me and spun us around until my back met the cool exterior of the fridge, magnets digging into my ass while I kept my legs wrapped tight around him.
I mumbled incoherent pleas to his tongue as it slid over mine. Our teeth clacked, his hips jerking up so fast and hard, I was on the edge and shaking for what felt like minutes. “So fucking beautiful. So fucking mine. Say it.” He reached between us to flick me into a million shattering pieces. “Say it while you come because of me.”
“Yours,” I rasped, and he held my face as he jerked and stilled, his forehead hard on mine and his breath choppy as it drifted inside my mouth.
We remained like that, eyes locked, our thundering hearts taking their time to slow and calm. His finger drifted over my cheek, and his cock softened inside me.
“You’ve wrecked me, Clover.”

Book Description

Just Ten Seconds
That’s all it took for my life to change forever.

I left my posh life in Manhattan and escaped to the Hudson Valley in hopes of a fresh start. It wasn’t until I happened upon a bereavement group when I finally found a place I felt understood. I told them my husband was dead when, really, I was the one who had died inside. It was also where I saw the smoldering gaze of Dean Delgado, the single father whom I’d helped just days before.

Just Ten Seconds
That’s all he wishes he had with his late wife. Despite Dean’s widowed status, he has a robust thirst for life. He’s a protector and a giver. A man who fixes things with his hands, is devoted to his child, and wants to spend his days with me. I try to avoid him, knowing a woman with my past has no business being in this man’s life. With every run-in, he makes me laugh. With every touch, he ignites me. And with every second, he makes me feel like myself again.

Just Ten Seconds
That’s all it took for me to fall in love with Dean Delgado.I'm in too deep and my secrets are about to be exposed. I only hope he can forgive me for the lies I never meant to tell.

You Can Have Manhattan, an all new standalone contemporary romance by P. Dangelico.

Sydney
I’m no stranger to hard work. It’s the one constant in my life. And with no family or friends to speak of, it’s been easy to pour all my time and everything I’ve got into my career as general counsel for Blackstone Holdings.
And, hey, I’m not complaining. I mean, life is good…sort of…mostly. It was perfectly fine until my boss offered me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. One I’d be crazy to pass up. All I have to do in return is marry his good-for-nothing son. I can do this. I can handle it…I think.
* * *
Scott
I’ve had my fair share of fun. Some would even say I used to be somewhat of a party whore. Pardon, party animal. I haven’t been that guy in a long time, though. Not since I moved to Wyoming, bought a failing cattle ranch, and turned it into a profitable business.
Life isn’t just good––life is great. Until a phone call from my father threatens the quiet, simple life I’ve built. Marry or lose everything. And to a woman who can’t stand me, no less. Well, I’m not going down without a fight. I’m never going back to Manhattan. Not if I can help it.

You Can Have Manhattan was just what I needed. Marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers executed to perfection. On top of that delicious and fabulous slow burn filled with funny and sexy moments from both Sydney and Scott that just made me smile and my heart sing.

Scott doesn’t want to be married to Sydney and does everything in his power to scare her off but Sydney is one tough and resilient woman. Sydney and her clowns and Scott turning off the furnace just to name a few things they both do to one another. They butt heads constantly but the tension is filled with an underlying sizzling heat just waiting to explode. It’s flawlessly written and not only is Sydney and Scott two compelling characters so are the secondary ones too. Sydney’s assistant Miller and Scott’s friends and colleagues Laurel, Ryan and Drake are simply terrific. Two cute dogs Romeo and Juliet have captured my heart too.

You Can Have Manhattan is why marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers are among my favorite tropes. This story captures it all. Strong and flawed characters, sexual tension and chemistry that jumps off the pages, sweet, sad and funny scenes that crawled under my skin and into my heart.
I know this is a standalone but I don’t want to leave Jackson Hole.

Excerpt:
“Just stand still for five more minutes…” Romeo scooted away and started running in circles around me, his entire massive Wolfhound body covered in shampoo. It was high time these two got a bath and the weather was finally cooperating. I’d found a spray nozzle out back and went to work. “Romeo! Get over here! Stop it.” The more I chased, the faster he ran, tongue hanging to out, tearing up the lawn because this was the best game ever! Then Juliet got in the mix, barking loudly, and it all went to hell. Romeo suddenly hit the brakes and shook, sending suds flying everywhere––and me screaming when some hit me in the face. “What’s going on here?” an amused man inquired. Behind me, Scott was grinning. Taking off his ball cap, he adjusted his hair and slammed it back on. “They smell like cow shit is what’s going on,” was the obvious reply. I wiped my brow with the back of my wrist and watched Scott’s gaze track up and down my body, taking his time to thoroughly evaluate my wet t-shirt covered in dying suds, my hair falling into my face, and my bare legs shoved into my Hunter boots. He was so distracted that he missed Romeo coming at him like a heat-seeking missile. Before he knew what hit him, Scott was on his back, lying spread eagle on the ground. Oh sweet, sweet vengeance. I still missed my orange ASICS. I doubled over in laughter while he blinked, trying to ascertain what the heck had just happened to him. Stepping over him with my legs straddling his body, I bent to get a better look and tipped his ball cap off his head. “You okay there, Sweet Nuts?” Next thing I know, I’m lying on top of him. Eyes hooded and aimed at my mouth, he murmured, “Better now, Sunshine.” We kissed and touched and got covered in mud. He stood, and with pure muscular power, took me with him. We peeled clothed off even though it was only March and still a little nippy out. Grabbing the spray nozzle, he hit me in the chest with the cold water. The look of pure shock on my face… “Oh, you’re gonna get it now.” He chuckled darkly. “And I’ll happily take it. This is better than a Girls Gone Wild video.” I snatched the hose out of his hands and aimed for the jewels, but he turned in time to save “future generations of Blackstones.” His exact words. I was also labeled a “genocidal maniac,” for my actions. Which was a bit extreme, if you ask me. After we’d rinsed the mud off, he wrapped his warmth around me, chased away the chill, and kissed me as he backed me up to the side of the house. His restless hands moving over me possessively, with the authority and conviction of a man who knew all my secrets and still wanted me.

About P. Dangelico:
Dangelico loves romance in all forms, cuddly creatures (four legged and two), really bloody sexy pulp, the NY Jets (although she’s reconsidering after this season), and to while away the day at the barn (apparently she does her best thinking shoveling horse crap). What she’s not enamored with is referring to herself in the third person and social media so don’t expect her to get on Twitter anytime soon. Oh, and although she was born in Italy, she’s been Jersey Strong since she turned six.

About P.
