A small gasp fell from my lips as his fingers kissed the paper-thin skin. His eyes held me hostage. The golden brown was now a swirling bronze, raging with the same demanding hunger I knew reflected in mine.

“This sort of reminds me of the forest,” I whispered. “The trees around us—no one else.” My words fell like petals, waiting for Jethro to crush them beneath his glossy shoe.

But…he didn’t.

Tracing one hand from my wrist, along the inside of my arm, and right to my throat, he fisted my ponytail. With intensity that stripped my soul to the very essence of who I was, he pulled my head back slowly, sensually, full of sexual power.

I'm totally reeling right now! My heart is still racing and I feel like I could spontaneously combust. I have read Pepper's other books, the Monster's in the Dark series so,

I was familiar with her style of writing.

I was totally astonished at how captivating this story was.

I should have known it would consume my every moment of free time and I would devour it!

I read both books in 2 days.

Yep so I didn't get much sleep or work done. OOPS!

It was well fucking worth it.

The battle that raged between Jethro and Nila keep my anxiety at an all time high. The Angst was enough to kill me, but like I said I fucking devoured this series. I know Pepper likes to have an unexpected twist in her stories so I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I'm dying to find out how the story concludes.

I connected with Nila's character. She embraced her inner sexuality once it was let loose. She'd had no idea how to control her feelings. The Sexual ones anyways.

Jethro...My Gawd... THAT MAN...

IS. MY.

UNDOING.

I wanted to hate him but he made me want him over and over. I could feel Nila's pain literally. I have this inner darkness that comes to life when I read books by Pepper. It always takes me by surprise and knocks me on my ASS!

This was no different and the story didn't disappoint. My body will be on fire until I get to read the conclusion
