Last Kiss was one hell of a ride
and I enjoyed every minute of it.
When I finished First Touch I couldn't wait to get my hands on Last Kiss since it ended with a cliffhanger.
I dove straight in and
I was only away from it
to get my beauty sleep.
It was addictive as hell.
I enjoyed how easily Paige blended genres together. One minute it was suspenseful then she switched it around and it was sinfully erotic. It was done in such an effortless and delicious way.
It kept me on my toes and on the edge of my seat throughout the story.
Reeve was even more intoxicating this time around. I couldn't get enough of his dirty talk and his assertive ways toward Emily,
who I thought needed to
take a stand against Amber.
Emily was too much a pushover when it came to Amber and I felt their story/feelings dragged on for too long.
Emily was a totally different character from when we met her in First Touch and that disappointed me.
How Amber's presence could change Emily that much is beyond me.
I know they had history and Amber presence when Emily was a teenager
was influential but come on!
Emily was two totally different people.
Reeve and Emily together was sizzling hot! Damn damn damn!
I enjoyed their scenes together. Both in and out of bed but let me tell you all, that Paige knows how to write insanely erotic scenes. There were times I read them twice.
They were written so exquisitely and her words just jumped off the pages.
I was entertained tremendously even though I figured out the plot early on.
I felt the ending was a little rushed and I would've loved an epilogue.
I would definitely recommend this duet because it was a fabulous story with interesting and flawed characters.
To top it off the writing was superb.
