I just loved this book.
Wow!
At first I was a little apprehensive, because it was about lawyers and being in their environment,
but my nervousness was totally uncalled for.
It's also a Sawyer Bennett book and I've read her Cold Fury
series and they were amazing.
Although it's a different topic, her stories have always captured me. Friction had me from the first page.
This was such a riveting
and exciting story.
I loved the two characters, Leary and Reeve with a passion. Not only did they have a good head on their shoulders, they were also strong
and sympathetic people.
Their first interaction with each other was sexy and funny as hell. Leary really had Reeve in the palm of her hands. That's what I loved about Leary. She wasn't afraid to use her female powers to get ahead in the legal game, when it was a case she believed strongly about. I also appreciated the fact, that the reason she's an attorney is so she could help the weaker people, the"underdogs".
She's a loyal and beautiful person, who fights for what she believes in.
I loved Reeve equally as much.
Wow! Sexy as hell
with a dirty mouth,
but with a heart of gold.
He works as a defense attorney
and his client is a selfish surgeon with God complex. Reeve knows right from wrong and to watch him struggle with making the right decisions was difficult, because he was also risking his career. His bantering with Leary was intense and feisty. But in a damn good way. He knows what he wants and when he gets it, he cares for it with all of his heart.
In this case it was Leary.
The interaction and love scenes between them were on fire.
My kindle felt hot at times!
Man, the sex was crazy hot
and just in Leary and Reeve's spirit.
But it was their growing love and mutual respect that I loved.
I couldn't wait for another scene of them just talking for that matter, because there was so much heat, tension and love
oozing off of those pages.
The secondary characters, Ford and Jenna were also important and I was invested in their story.
This was just a fabulous
and delicious book.
I thoroughly enjoyed it
from start to finish.
Sawyer Bennett has impressed me again. She knocked it out of the park.
A home run!!!
